When you say 'the power is within you', do you infer that it is my power?
Those who know that the power of God is within them, through a rebirth in Him, give praise to the origin of that power. They do not worship themselves, nor think themselves better than someone else, because they know it did not originate with them.
Those people would not hardly be found within a building necessarily. They call themselves the church, and wherever they gather they give glory back to the one who gave them new life.
Personally, I long for the days when men had to gather at great risk to their lives to worship and pray. You wouldn't find a milk-toast Christian in that crowd. It would be too risky, uncomfortable, and boring, and you would know those who were there were not false in their commitment to their beloved Savior.

Any church that does not have Jesus Christ as the foundation will crumble (1 Cor 3:9-15)

There wouldn't be a church. That is very strange. Do you think you misunderstood what the message really was?

if it was based on Jesus you would be back to teach the new comers after you what you had learned about the power HE WAS IN YOU and how you were now an OVERCOMER through HIM
