OK, here's mine:

Take a grapefruit, take off the peel and pith, and put that into a 6-cup tea pot along with a teaspoon each of cinnamon & cayenne pepper, lime or lemon juice, a half teaspoon of nutmeg, two cloves of garlic, and a BIG dollop of honey. Fill the teapot with hot water, and drink a cup of that noxious mix every hour or so (hot or cold, it doesn't matter) along with your daily 8 glasses of regular water.

Or, you can drink tonic water with quinine, take vit. C, and have some honey/cinnamon/nutmeg toast for breakfast..

And then have some lovely thing with lots of garlic and cayenne (or other hot pepper) for lunch.

If you opt for the more palatable choice, continue to drink tonic water throughout the day along with your 8 glasses of regular water.

Emp, Sorry you're feeling a bit under the weather. Here's MY cold recipe.

AM
A cup of hot chamomile-yarrow tea, an actifed, and a tall glass of OJ, followed by a 1,000 mG vitamin C. Do not drinkj the Yarrow tea for more than three days as Yarrow will make your skin sentitive to light and you'll sunburn easily.

Evening
A cup of Echinacea tea (yuck, use lots of sweetener), another 1,00 mG Vitamin C

Bedtime
Another Cup of Echinacea tea, a glass of Orange juice (gets rid of the taste of the echinacea), another Actifed and a 1,000 mG vitamin C and a 500 mG Vitamin E.

That usually eliminates the symptoms and makes the cold tolerable. It should dissapear within a week, entirely. Also drink LOTS of other fluids but avoid alcoholic beverages, they will dehydrate you and the idea is to flush out the toxic effects of the viruses.

Good luck, my frined and get as much rest as you can.

Brightest Blessings,
Raji the Green Witch

I lose my temper and hard to concentrate at work when I get a cold or flu.

when you are ill you don't lose your spirituality..... you only spend all your energies getting well.
to get rid of a cold, you lay down and drink water.

when you stay immobile all of your body is focused on healing your cold....water flushes the phlegm
and histamines out and keeps you hydrated.

allow your fever to get to 102. before you take anything for fever as fever is a sign that your body is fighting the disease that is attacking it.

A cold or flu makes me very focused on myself rather than on God.

Hope you feel better soon!
