Speaking as someone who was a minister in a conservative Christian denomination for several years, I can tell you the MOST Christians, as least are taught that reading the horoscopes to plan your day is wrong. They believe that this removes your trust in God to guide your day and places it somewhere else--which can be considered idolatry.

However, I learned, when I was a minister, that the personality profiles of horoscopes are dead-on accurate. A SCORPIO really ACTS like a SCORPIO and if we embrace our signs and let our true personalities come out as they are designed, we have a happier life.

Now, the future-predicting horoscopes. You can read10 different sources and get 10 different predictions. If you can find a quality source, which actually takes into consideration your astrological personality, you might have success.

I do not think this is wrong because it does not necessarily take your trust from God. I think of it as a tool God uses to guide us.

If you sister seriously believes anyone can REALLY predict the future, she should have her head examined. No, it's not sinful to read horoscopes but it's really silly to imagine they mean anything. Of course from time to time, by coincidence, something will SEEM to be a prediction come true; but ask yourself how many other people have the same horoscope as you but those things didn't happen to THEM. Tell your sister, if God really IS the only person who knows your future, what harm is there in other people trying to find out? They're going to fail, aren't they, if she's right?

It's not bad to read them. Keep them in perspective and use them as a catalyst to feel good for the day and have some general direction. They aren't so specific as to lead you down a dark path. They are only meant to help make decisions that you most likely would have made just fine in the first place ;)

just like the dude's above me say's and much more. if u want off the many reasons y's, i'll share one that i think.
if we read the bible it talks of predestination. u know of how people, believers or not, talk of fate. in the many religions it say's that humans r uncontrollable of this fate. well, but in Christianity in faith with God we r able to alter our fate. another words, we have the power to change fate with God. but the problem is when God allows to change something he wants it to be changed in his righteousness and goodness. people not knowing this looking in to future with greed and selfishness can alter what good God had intended for our change and is why, it, i think, becomes a sin. also, in the bible we all know how the jew's were scolded by God. how God angered by the chosen people allows the punishment. well, i think this is do to jew's not knowing how good they got it. somewhere in the bible it says " out of the many people i choose u, so don't think u'r all that" but the jews continuously fall even before the very blessing of God. What i'm trying to get at is if we do not appreciate the blessing of God giving us the chance to change by trying to change with our own devices, we will be disappointing God, therefore sining.

Appreciate, be humble, and follow the will of God to the Blessing our God allows, is the moral i think behind the future seeing sin.

hope i helped

anyone seeking for tellers of events is getting in touch with the demons.

God didn't say they could not tell the future...He said not to fool with them. Satan could predict something and then make it happen so that you will stop believing in God and start following him.
That was his purpose in the beginning. he chose to turn everyone against God.

Don't fall for his subtle, evil tricks.

horoscopes are a load of rubbish but your welcome to read them, just not believe them. horoscopes are not from God therefore they are from the devil - the source of all evil, all bad things in the world. remember that god is more powerful than Satan, but horoscopes are not the best of ideas, God would tell you what was going to happen in the future if he thought you needed to know. ask him if you like, but you might not like the answer so much.

They are simply words on a piece of paper or spoken which ever one you use. I wouldn't believe them, If you want to know your future, simply live a good life and you want have to worry so much about what is going to happen. Prepare yourself for your downfalls. This is all you need to do.

It's not biblical.....meaning.....we are told not to trust in mediums and the like.

It directs our attention away from God.

We need to look to Him....the Author & Finisher of our faith.....and not to a newspaper with false hope.

The bible prohibits it. There are only two spiritual forces in this world. If anything is not of God it is of satan.

Just read them like you read a book, no.

Put your faith in them, yes.
