When you get a new laptop Vista home and norton are already installed so they are compatable. If you like norton then stay with it that is your choice,
I have it on my laptop but I have never used it.

I always use Grisof AVG if its for a personal pc its a free version upgradable and fully compatable with vista

If you do decide to get rid of it, uninstall it first before installing avg

Windows Vista has a firewall so you don't need the Norton firewall.

Windows Vista has antispyware ("Windows Defender") so you don't really need the Norton antispyware.

Windows Mail has a junk email filter so you don't need the Norton junk email filter (antispam).

All you really need is an antivirus program. I recommend AVG antivirus. It is free for personal use, or less expensive than Norton if you need to buy a copy. Nor does it slow down your computer nearly as much as Norton does.

domicile windows risk-free practices necessities is the only right anti virus I even have used, I even have used maximum of anti viruses yet domicile windows risk-free practices necessities is the only right. it is going to likely be nicely worth it. Now, Why does domicile windows no longer grant it in there domicile windows Vista/7 installation the explanation is because of fact many human beings are not attentive to getting 2 or extra anti virus courses on there pc, so domicile windows only places in domicile windows Defender because of fact this is not any longer a anti virus application and it does not conflict with the different application. extremely some human beings in Australia use Norton, so as you realize Norton kills your workstation. So if domicile windows put in domicile windows risk-free practices necessities, the workstation may well be quite slow. So the shoppers does no longer purchase a domicile windows pc anymore. that's what i understand.

Sorry to hear you bought into Vista , I find it a royal pain. As for Norton Symantecs I have had nothing but trouble even after several calls to " tech services". Will change as soon as contract expires.
Next time I will not be so quick to jump on a NEW program.

Don't renew Norton - get it off you PC and get your performance back.

Loads of free ones do equally as well - AVG and Avst are recommended frequently - link for AVG in the free section of my site if you cannot find it.

I got the Norton 360, mistake. Way too cumbersome and not very user friendly. Avoid that one...
