Can you help decorate a basement apartment? The living room is painted and has navy blue furniture. My son?

will occupy the space so I was thinking possibly navy blue drapes hung with the windows fully exposed. The flooring is cream porcelin tiles. I'd like to give the room a natical flare. What would you suggest for accessorizing it?

maybe a lamp with a lighthouse on it and some seashells on like a throw possibly . also the drapes are great suggestions.good luck .
