The Lord says in this portion "Test me" or in the Youth Bible "I challenge you to put me to the test" Have you tested this Word of God pertaining to sowing and reaping?

Absolutely Suzzane! God has blessed me abundantly. Life, health, strength, family, career, friends and faith. God is so awesome. Our God is an awesome God! He is so marvelous. He is wonderful.

The word of God declares, What ever you sow , you shall reap. Malachi 3 is really all about trusting God. Either we trust God or we don't. God says, try me. I dare you to try me and watch what happens in your life.

He promises to bless us in so many ways. His blessings are not limited to materialistic accomplishments. He will bless your health, academic goals, interpersonal relationships, family etc.

Start returning to God today. Windows will swing wide open before you and God will shower you with his blessings. Notice the passage says "Windows". Have you noticed that there are more windows in a house than doors? Wow! God wants to give us so much more.

Take care

I agree wholeheartedly with alleninthehills... in the context of the passage, the people were disobeying the command to tithe, hence God choosing to punish them. However, if we truly choose to commit ourselves to God's ways then He will reward us richly. The rewards may not be material, or even experienced on this earth, but God will honor those who honor Him. Nothing we have actually belongs to us anyway - we are just stewards of what God graciously gives us in the first place, so trying to steal from God is a pointless exercise. Far better to trust Him, live by grace, and allow Him to bless us how He sees fit.

Well the verse does not literally mean go out and test God to do stuff for you and see if he will. In the same way that you will not test your parents out of spite do not test God out of spite.
That verse means that if you put your faith in God about a particular situation, you believe that he is capable of doing it for you and you do not doubt or blaspheme him, then he will fulfil the desires of your heart.
Belief is free will, you either choose to believe or not no one will force it on you

I have to say, that as a Christian, being tested is sometimes a "scary" thought. Specifically, having God test me in accordance to this scripture, I would have to say no, I have said that exact thing.. But, I do ask the Lord to "test" me spiritually in all aspects of my life. I believe we are tested to show our love for Him and to refine our lives for Him.

Strange that Christ tells the devil that he shouldn't test God, and condemns people for seeking miracles... Yet another of the many mixed messages that the Bible sends.

Well, we've all heard the stories of how God treated those who doubted Him, so I have to doubt His sincerity here. In Job he basically tells Job "Hey, I'm God, and I know what I'm doing. Who the Hell do you think you are? Get with the program, boy!"

There has to be a god in order to test it.
And there isn't.
