Good morning NASCAR Nation.....
I got up to check out the weather forecast for Brooklyn, Mich. where the race is supposed to be held today and this is what it's looking like........

TODAY: Periods of rain with a few thunderstorms likely. High around 65F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Rainfall may reach one inch. Localized flooding is possible.
THIS EVENING: Showers and thundershowers likely. Low 61F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60%. Rainfall possibly over one inch.

It doesn't sound to great. I guess all we can do is hope and pray the weather clears up long enough to run the race. I can't take another day of being deprived of not being able to see some Nextel / Sprint Cup Racing.

Rain, Rain. Go Away..........!!!!

My contacts in Michigan say it does not look good.It is about an 80% chance of rain for today and if they were to stay for Tuesday it is a little better, only a 50% chance of rain.
But this could put the Michigan race to the next available date which is the week after Homestead thus making it the last race for the chase.

Yeah ,I checked the Brooklyn weather this morning as well and I agree it sure doesn't look good. Supposed to rain tomorrow as well so that means that they won't be able to run the race until the end of the year . To run the race any other day this week would be next to impossible ,as the transport driver's have to drive all the way back to Charlotte to reload and get the short track car and head to Bristol .

I just hope its nice here Tuesday evening ,as I plan to go watch Clint Bowyer and Richard Childress' grandson,Austin Dillion compete in a $20,000 race in Bulls Gap,TN ,which is 22 minute's from me .
