I think this is a serious question. Excuse me if I am a bit too long in my reply.
Religion is a way of life controlled by a set of guidelines. Rituals are made later & definately not specified by the founders.
The differences in rituals are due to geography, surroundings etc..
You can't expect an eskimo to be vegetarian. Does that mean he can't follow Jainism which is hard-core vegetarian?
Now coming back to the question-you will accept the way a thing is explained to you. If u r convinced the God is omnipresent, u are Jain. If u r convinved that idol of Lord Krishna is God- u r Hindu. If u r convinced that God is shapeless, u r Muslim. What remains is rituals u follow.
With the above forelogue,
NO BODY CAN REALLY CONVERT YOUR RELIGION. ONE CAN INFLUENCE THE FEELING & U CAN CHANGE UR RELIGION IN IT'S REAL SENSE. CHRISTIANS, AS I KNOW, HELP U BUT NOT FORCE TO CONVERT U. NO ONE CAN.
Just by shaving ur head, u can't become a Buddhist, just by praying 5 times u can't become a Muslim. These are all rituals, religion comes from soul which is always pure. So please don't get confuse. Ask ur inner sense which theory convences u.

The message of the Gospel is compelling: the world NEEDS to know about Jesus Christ. That is part of the package one accepts along with salvation: there is good news for everybody, and it needs to be shared. Christians therefore do not have a "right" to seek to convert others, they have a RESPONSIBILITY to do so, since they are supposed to be sharing life with a dying world.
Think of it as a metaphysical vaccine in a plague-infested world. Once a person accepts the vaccine, they are issued a supply to pass along to others who are suffering from the same plague. Would it be right for that person to deny access to any human being (to the vaccine), when they can alleviate their suffering?
The moral and spiritual erosion in "Christian" countries cannot be attributed to Christians. While there are numerous instances of immorality in many churches, those are without doubt or arguement the actions of individuals, who must be subject to Church discipline. There are also MANY people, in all of these so-called "Christian" countries, that are NOT CHRISTIANS. The actions of atheists, agnostics, and others who reject the Christian message, BY THEIR OWN FREE WILL, are not the Church's fault.
How you get the idea of any group of Christians being "just like the Mafia" I don't understand. Since when can a group of translators, missionarys, doctors, nurses, orphanage-overseers, soup-kitchen-runners, musicians, etc, be reasonably compared to a group dedicated to pushing crack cocain, prostitution, gambling, and murder (organized crime)? I mean really, where do you draw the comparison, just in the fact that they are organized in their activities?
You may as well slander the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. They are organized as well!

All we Christians do is preach The Message. We do this because we are commanded to do it by God. (Matthew 28:16-20) Accepting that Message is up to the people who are hearing it. No one can be forced or coerced into accepting it. People are free to reject it if they want.
We, as Christians, have then done our part, as commissioned by God, to preach the Gospel to all nations and to all corners of the earth.
Yes, we have not only a moral right, but a command from God to spread the Good News of the Gospel.
Re: erosion of moral and spiritual values in Christian countries -
Biblical prophecy states that there will be a great apostasy both *within the Church* as well as outside of it, before the final End Times. This great apostasy is well underway now.

This is a most odd claim. The historical facts are that as Christianity increases in our countries, the moral climate becomes better; and as fewer people embrace Christianity, the moral climate becomes worse.
It is clear that Christians then, have a moral OBLIGATION to try to enlighten people to the Gospel of Salvation.

Well they have freedom of speech. Unfortunatly some are very untactful about the way they approach ppl. EX. I am LDS but i grew up in a town full of bible beating hard shell southern baptists and methodist and whatever. They were my "friends" but they were constantly telling me how sorry they were for me and that I was going to hell. And I would ask ok so you are telling me that i am going to hell because i believe that Jesus is my savior but I also believe other things??? And there would be NO answer. Just a thought.

Actually they have the moral obligation to do that because they are called to preach a word that is in essence good, in preaching controversial, and in practice problematic.
They also have the religious freedom or right to preach in most countries, as do many religions, as do atheists.
Moral Right? That's a politicalism, and doesn't mean what you impy. It's actually oxymoronic, because a Moral is typically prohibitive or binding and a right is liberative.

You don't know what is a mafia. No one has the power to convert anyone to their religion. Nothing can happen without the will of God. I live with my wife for more than 8 years. She is not Christian. I even did not try to convert her. We seldom speak about my faith, only when she don't object to it. I'm very careful with her. I only pray to God that she could become Christian. I speak to people about religion only when they want to speak about it. It is impossible to become Christian under any pressure. God can't accept it because He knows hearts of people.

We have been commanded by Jesus to tell every body about the Good News.
As the Jewish people failed to live according to God's laws, So have Christians failed to live according to God's laws.
This does not mean that God has failed, but it shows how untrustworthy men are and how patient God is with us.
We are not to follow man's example, but God's/Jesus' example.

it's not about who's good and bad, as Christians, they're doing what they've been taught and what is says in the religion. They are trying to save people from hell. They want everyone to have the opportunity to welcome Jesus into their lives. No harm in that right? I think sometimes their methods aren't the best. but it's more in the intent. Mostly i think the intent is good.
