They were a cross section of men who frankly, all had flaws. God chose everyday guys....he did not look for people who He thought were perfect. He was patient and TAUGHT them...as He still does today with each one of us, who want to follow Him.

I suppose you mean "disciples." They were twelve men who followed Jesus, who became the founders of Christianity.
