She has mussels which are no longer connected to her shoulder, due to mussel wasted and several falls, they are damaged. She has been told by the hospital, that they can not do nothing for her. But she is just in exscusiating pain. She is only taking CO Dydramol. Is there any medication I could ask for her. Or any treatments that could be done. As I am at my wits end, to know who to turn too.

Poor you and your Mum!! My heart goes out to you.

Have you asked for a second opinion? Sometimes it can open another door! Have you tried mild sedation. it doesn't have to be tranquilisers! It could be antidepressants. Which in turn could take the mind off the pain and lift the spirits. Have you tried alternative therapies. They can be costly but peace of mind is priceless. I would suggest starting with a homoeopath. Hope this is of some help.

We expect to get arthritis as we get older but one of the heat pads may help your mum.
After several fractures l have ended up with a bit of arthritis and l use heat pads which helps. A bit of exercise may help or physio ask your GP if your mum could have some.
