Any fluid object (breasts are soft and malleable) will accept the shape of the container.

Think like a water balloon. Put the water balloon on top of a class. Over a little time, it will begin to accept the shape of the glass. Your breasts will do the same. That's why breast shape has changed over time.

Look at an old 40s or 50s movie and notice the prevailing shape. They used to call that "B52 boobs" and it was a direct result of the circle stitch design of the prevailing bra. The 60's and 70's the design went to "ski slope" and by the 90's we had "miracle" push up and in with massive cleavage. Now the prevailing design is half-globe.

The answer to your question is yes, the bra effects growth. It can't as much increase size but it can decrease size by confining shape. It can also directly impact shape and level of "perkyness".

A well fitted bra is essential to good shape and good health. The impact is greater the larger you get.
