I agree, it looks ridiculous. I think it is very rude for anyone to wear those things other than in the car or at work. I see people in restaurants and other public places wearing those things and I think to myself, "Is it that important for you to not miss a call?!". Even when I had my own business I never made myself that accessible. There is such a thing called personal time. I think it makes them feel self important, I feel they must have a low self-esteem to want to not miss a call or have a normal existence. No thanks.

Those things remind me of the old Star Trek shows where the Borg is coming to assimilate the humans. "Resistance is futile..." People who wear the Blue Tooth ear pieces look like they've already been assimilated.
