Jehovah is the God of Israel. Jesus is the Son of God. Interestingly, God the Father and Christ the Son are pictured by Abraham and by Isaac, respectively (see Genesis chapter 22). In connection with those events, Jehovah had made a special covenant with Abraham, and later with Jacob (the father of the twelve tribes of Israel).
(Genesis 22:15-18) Jehovah’s angel proceeded to call to Abraham... “‘By myself I do swear,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘...I shall surely bless you and I shall surely multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens and like the grains of sand that are on the seashore; and your seed will take possession of the gate of his enemies. And by means of your seed all nations of the earth will certainly bless themselves due to the fact that you have listened to my voice.’”
(1 Chronicles 16:14-17) He is Jehovah our God...Remember his covenant even to time indefinite ...Which covenant he concluded with Abraham, And his sworn statement to Isaac. And which statement he kept standing as a regulation even to Jacob, As an indefinitely lasting covenant even to Israel
It would be through fleshly Israel (and later through spiritual Israel) that Jehovah could bless all of mankind.
(Romans 9:6-8) For not all who spring [genetically] from Israel are really “Israel.” Neither because they are Abraham’s seed are they all children, but: “What will be called ‘your seed’ will be through Isaac.” That is, the children in the flesh are not really the children of God, but the children by the promise are counted as the seed.

Briefly, because God made a covenant with Israel (see Gen. 17:7) and selected them for His own people, to be separated from all other nations and used for His purposes. He gave them the Mosaic Law to keep them separate from other nations and influences. Through Israel, God gave us the Scriptures and sent the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
Continuing into the New Testament scriptures (which was also given through the Jews) we see Jesus' life and all the evidence that He was, in fact, God Himself (See, for example, John 8:52-59 and John 10:29-39)
Therefore, if Jesus is God, He is also the God of Israel. God's covenant with Israel still holds true today, and He will eventually fulfill all the promises that He has made to them.

Because the God of the Old Testament, in whom the Jews do believe, is Jesus or Jehovah. Jesus testifies of himself, that he is the same God who led the children of Israel out of bondage. The Jews simply did not recognize Jesus as the promised Messiah or as being the same God who came to Moses on Mt. Sinai, or the one who spoke with Adam in the Garden of Eden or the one who told Noah to build an Ark, etc. The Jewish religion still awaits the first coming of the their Messiah, while the Christian world awaits His second coming.

Jesus said: " I and the Father are One ". Read the Gospel. The Father is God of Abraham, Isaak and Jacob it is Jehovah, God of Israel and there is no god apart from Him.

It is said in the bible, when people are describing God, that He is the God of Israel. Israel (struggles with God) is the name given to Jacob after he wrestled with God in the desert. I think that people would say, "Hey, I'm talking about God. You know, the God of Israel, of Isaac, and of Abraham." They were distinguishing God from any lesser god that was being worshipped by the people at the time. I do it now as well. I will usually say, "I'm talking about the God of the bible. The one and only true God."

The people of Israel called themselves the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and specifically of Israel.
Jehovah selected them to fulfill His promise to Abraham to bless all nations. However the people of Israel did not spread the worship of God through the nations, they kept that for themselves.
Jesus fulfilled the promise sending His message of salvation to all nations.

This is not true. If it's said, the person is saying an untruth.
Jesus isn't God. God doesn't have a God, but Jesus has a God. Therefore, Jesus isn't God. The trinity is a false, unbiblical doctrine. It's derived from Dualism, a Greek philosophy that was popular among sophisticated Gentiles back in the day. Its residue still remains in Christians today.
Jehovah is God, but Jesus is not.
