i've always found milk hard to drink and we all know that calcium is an essential part of our diet.
so please suggest some delish ways to drink milk:
i've got -
- tea (but it's not v healthy nor does it contain much milk)
- fruit smoothie (time consuming and makes a mess)
- marketed powders especially designed to be stirred into milk (not necessarily healthy)
any little tips & simple recipes would be great!

On a cold night or just before bed I love honey milk. Just heat up a mug of milk and stir in a couple of teaspoons of honey or to taste...yumm.

Try low-fat or skim milk, it's not that creamy and without all the unwanted fat. If you have a sweet tooth, you might want to stir in chocolate or strawberry syrup. Use milk for breakfast on cereal or oatmeal. Or have a latte with low-fat milk. Remember that you can also obtain calcium from other dairy products such as cheese, cream, yoghurt and ice-cream. Other calcium-rich foods are kale, broccoli, canned sardines (with bones) and shellfish (if you are non-vegetarian).

You do NOT need milk to be healthy. In fact, milk may be unhealth for you. Try broccolli and sesame seeds instead. Not together, of course, but they are both great sources of calcium. The following is an excerpt from the PETA website:

Human Bodies Fight Cow’s Milk
Besides humans (and companion animals who are fed by humans), no species drinks milk beyond infancy or drinks the milk of another species. Cow’s milk is suited to the nutritional needs of calves, who have four stomachs and gain hundreds of pounds in a matter of months, sometimes weighing more than 1,000 pounds before they are 2 years old.(27)

Cow’s milk is the number one cause of food allergies among infants and children, according to the American Gastroenterological Association.(28) Most people begin to produce less lactase, the enzyme that helps with the digestion of milk, when they are as young as 2 years old. This reduction can lead to lactose intolerance.(29) Millions of Americans are lactose intolerant, and an estimated 90 percent of Asian-Americans and 75 percent of Native- and African-Americans suffer from the condition, which can cause bloating, gas, cramps, vomiting, headaches, rashes, and asthma.(30) Studies have also found that autism and schizophrenia in children may be linked to the body’s inability to digest casein, a milk protein; symptoms of these diseases diminished or disappeared in 80 percent of the children who switched to milk-free diets.(31)

A U.K. study showed that people who suffered from irregular heartbeats, asthma, headaches, fatigue, and digestive problems “showed marked and often complete improvements in their health after cutting milk from their diets.”(32)

How about soy, almond or rice milk? There are also juices fortified with calcium made now. There is also yogurt, cheese, ice cream, leafy greens like kale, collards and mustard greens, dried beans and whole sardines or herring. All good sources of calcium.
There are also many excellent supplements available.
You don't have to drink milk!

Why not try soy milk, they have various flavors and most taste great plus the same benefits of regular milk. Regular milk just seems wrong to drink for me, knowing it came out of some animals yah.

In the mornings hot and with a spoon of instant coffee & sugar if you wish. In the afternoon over ice with a few spoons of (sweetened) mint syrup - stir and drink green milk!. In the evenings - hot with a a pour of brandy.

If you don't like it then you don't have to drink it, there are other ways to get lots of calcium in you. Cheese is really high in calcium and you can chuck it in salads, on jacket potatoes, in sandwiches, everywhere! And it doesn't have to be fattening there are loads of low fat varieties of cheese.
Almonds and sesame seeds are high in calcium so you can snack on these and put them in cereal etc.
Broccoli and sardines are also high in calcium.
Yop drinks are also tasty and full of calcium. And any other low fat dairy products.

milk is good because it has vitamin D that helps in calcium absorption. I like to drink chocolate milk. just add chocolate syrup to the milk. or you could eat other dairy products, like cheese and yogurt.

my favorite way to drink milk is by eating cereal. you can barely notice the milk, cause the cereal itself is so tasty.
