Hi All,

I have to sort out the dates in column A. The dates are in this way, 01-May-06. I wanted it to show only Year 2006 & 2007 only. The problem is there is a repeating dates along the way.
I tried to use advance filter and set the crteria as ="=06".etc.. but unsucessful. Thanks for your advice!

You might want to try just the regular AutoFilter instead. Pick Custom Filter from the filter dropdown combo box then you can either use "is greater than or equal to" and put in the earliest 2006 date. If you have dates in the future like in 2008 or 2009, you could select the And option then select "is less than or equal to" then select the last date listed in 2007. This should reduce your list down to the dates you want. If you want unique values after that. I suggest copying the visible rows to another location, then doing an advanced filter and check unique values only.

I prefer to use AutoFilter over the Adanced Filter if I can. The autofilter is normally easier to use in most cases.
