Read the book by Jennifer Kennedy Dean titled "The Life Saving Power in the Name of Jesus"
She explains things like what you just asked in a way that is easy to understand.

But just to let you know everything about the Quran is opposite from the Holy Bible.
Oh there might be some similarities but for the most part everything is different between the two.

In the Holy Bible in John 16:1 Jesus warns:
I have told you these things so that you won't abandon your faith. For you will be expelled from the Synagogues and the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing a Holy Service for God.
This is because they have never known the Father or me.

I have no idea about Muslims but let me answer the issue of Christ's turning water into wine.

I am not a scholar nor a theologian. I am just a man who picks up the hymnal after the service.

The Bible used two words: wine and strong drink.

Leviticus 10:9
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire unto the Lord because they were drunk and suffered the consequences.

Now John the Baptist was given same instruction handed to his father.

Luke 1:15
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

If the Bible used two words by joining them by "nor" therefore strong drink is different to wine.

Now an expert says that the word translated wine is almost a grape juice with an alocohol content of almost .03%.

there is not any biblical verse that announces that the wine became alcoholic, despite the fact that that's traditionally ultimate that it became. additionally, there is not any Christian regulation that announces eating is a sin. There are biblical verses that say drunkenness and debauchery are sins, yet not taking area in a tumbler of wine with dinner or a tumbler of champagne on new years or possibly a lager at a lower back backyard fish fry. On yet another word, i visit in no way understand why that's that the kind of massive situation between Christians. do we please see the super image!?! actually, you're able to ask why Jesus did this, no if there became alcohol in touch or not. that doesn't count. He did the miracle for the host of the occasion. It became a marriage reception and lower back then it became culturally unacceptable to expire of lodging of any sort on your travellers. It became so unacceptable that the marriage travellers could have legally robbed him of costly possessions and raided his abode in the event that they wanted to. that's the reason Jesus became the water to wine.

In hindsight, wine must be banned as you can see from the statistics of death caused by drunk motorists every year in western 'civilized' countries where drink is sold.

Jesus turned water to wine? Well is that true? Or are you deluded? What proof is there that he turned water to wine? It's written in the bible? lol. It is a myth for gullible people like you.

first...too many folks here are saying Jesus didn't turn water into wine....Scripture records this as His first miracle.

Second...as for Heaven having rivers of wine...but forbidding it now...makes sense....don't have more than one wife, but in Heaven you get 70 virgins....

Why would God forbid something here on earth, and then allow it in Heaven? And remember...how you answer must be able to be applied to any and all that God has forbidden.

Will we be able to lie, worship idols, dishonor our parents, hate, have lust....just keep on going with the "Dont's" become "wait until heaven".

The test is Jesus....either He rose from the tomb or He didn't.

I've looked at the arguments in favor of believing He has, and will continue to believe this. Takes too much fantasy to ignore the arguments in totality.

Muhammad did not ban wine, God did. It is forbidden to drink anything with alcohol because if you drink too much of it, it affects your brain & you do not know what you are doing (Drunk). I see it as a very good reason to be forbidden. Jesus did not turn water to wine, I do not know where you got this from. Just for your information, God has promised his followers that there are rivers of wine in heaven, so why get ahead of yourself? It is forbidden now, but it won't be forbidden in the afterlife.

When people drink, they arent in their senses, they dont know if they are doing it right or wrong.
Theres a nice example to support this.
Theres a significant increase in reaction time when people are drunk. so their reflexes are slow.
As they say, "Dont drink & drive". As their reaction time increases, its difficult to stop the car incase of an emergency.

So wine is banned in Islam.

Never heard Jesus made water into wine!!!!!!!

Allah knows best, wine/alcohol is not allowed for a muslim, as far as we know, the state of mind is affected to such an extent that one does not know if he is committing a sin. Also, the memory is affected.

I am glad that alcohol is not allowed in Islam, as other things such as drugs etc. They all mess up the human mind and we can all do without it.

Proud muslim

I am sorry to mention that there is a small mistake in your question...Muhammed did not ban wine in his own will...it is on Allah's order, he does everthing.People often refer to Muhammed as the founder of Islam...this is not so .He was a messenger of Allah, sent to earth to guide the people to the Right path..Allah has given Humans a chance to escape..

Because Mohammed can not duplicate Jesus feat. To save face he ban wine to discourage his disciples from asking the same miracle.
