Atheists do not believe there is a god at all, which is why they are called atheists.

No, I've been an athiest for all of my adult life and I can tell you that I don't believe (not even "deep down") that there is a God.

I nether believe in the "old man with a white beard, watching us from heaven" type of God, or the "mystical, invisible force that holds our fates in the balance" God.

What I don't understand is why Christians get so offended by athiests. I'm not upset by your beliefs, so why are you so uptight about my opinions? I know a couple of Buddhists, who honestly don't give a crap about what I believe, and I think that's great.

There might be a god .... but as an atheists, I can tell you I do not believe in the existence of one until proven wrong. I do not want to waste time trying to figure out which of the 2000+ gods and religions outside there is the correct one. Having the most members does not mean they are correct, but they sure have either good PR machines or great brainwashing skills.

Atheists do not believe in InvisibleSkyGuys.

I lean towards a sorta Spiritual Atheism in that I 'know' there's an energy that can be harnessed for good or bad - the energy doesn't care - it's just energy.
(Two people immediately spring to mind who were able to harness that energy - Hitler and Ghandi - complete opposites - both influenced the world and in some ways, still do.)

I've had access to that energy more than a coupla times in my life - it's powerful and scary stuff.

BUT, a god thingy looking over us?
Nah. That's sentimental pap for the iggerant masses to lap up and the parasites to make money from.

There's good money to be made from religion IF you can keep a straight face.

Nope, atheists shun even the possibility of a god. The ones who accept that there's a possibility either way would most likely be labeled as agnostics, as their philosophy is that no human can know the mind of god, and therefore, no human can know whether god(s) exist.

The whole idea of athiesm is that they don't believe in a god at all. If they do, but are unsure about the nature of god, or if they're not sure about the existance of god, it is usually called agnostic.

Jeepers, when are you all going to stop asking this stupid question? Do you not ever go to or read here in Y?A questions asked?

When are you all going to stop this childish and repetitive question directed towards the Atheists?

Not a day goes by that this same question is not posted. Can you not think of anything new or original? Must you continue to plagiarize the questions of others?

Grow up and pick on those with your level of intelligence and belief.

Theism is the belief in a god or gods, conversely atheism is the belief that there is no god. Don't take my word for this, see what many atheists have to say at:

There is insufficient evidence to support the hypothesis of a god or gods. Therefore they do not exist. It is very simple. Not at all like religion because atheism is not a religion.
