There is not really a great deal that you can legally do unless you have evidence he is doing something illegal,if you do have evidence then the only thing you can do is contact the police and provide them with your evidence.
The courts are now coming down hard on vigilantes and are being sentenced to hefty prison sentences.
You need to be very careful you do not get yourself into a situation where you can be accused of entrapment whereas you could be locked up for up to five years.
If you are sure this person is up to something get your evidence and report him, then the police will take action however,be very careful of your facts for your own sake.
Good luck.

The local nutter/perv as you call him will have a wayward mental condition and will probably not be able to control his feelings. I will not condone him or his behaviour - but most likely he has wrestled with his own conscience and feels guilty and ashamed of his actions.

Personally I wouldn't get involved in any dirtly tricks that you are suggesting - I'm sure faced with the situation I may feel different but looking at your situation as an outsider the consequences of your actions may be severe. You could get arrested - even if you try and stay within the boundaries of the law. It is possible that you may incite others with your actions and a hate mob develops in your area. This makes people more prone to worry and anxiety and could make them lash out in all sorts of ways - The pervert could be seriously attacked or killed, his friends and family could be injured by mistake or as a consequence of peoples hatred anfd fear. Other innocent parties could be affected and you might well be implicated and your name will be tarnished.

I would put pressure on your local mp, council and police to move this guy away from your area. Matters like this can be readily resolved by approaching it in this manner.

If you are nice to him, for no reason he can figure out, he may become paranoid, especially if he really is a nutter/perv.

If he is slandering or libeling anyone, I suppose you can take legal action there. If he is doing anything to lower property values in the area, that could be a lawsuit.

It depends on what he is doing.
If he is, lets say, stalking the playground, then my advice would be to get a camera, and take lots of pictures of him, and be obvious about it. This will let him know that he is under observation. And if you can recruit a lot of other people to do this too, then he will know he isn't going to get away with anything. That he is being watched.

Unfortunately there are some wierdos around, i have one living near me and there is nothing you can do apart from doing it the legal way (if he is directly bothering you), i'm afraid!

More than likely he'll report you and you'll be in hot water, so don't waste your energy!

Advice from bitter experience: Don't get in a neighborhood war with someone meaner and/or crazier than you. You'll lose.

If you annoy him sufficiently, he will be removed from your area by the authorities after cutting you into small pieces and feeding you to stray dogs.
I do not believe there are any legal forms of harassment so perhaps you would do better reviewing your own shortcomings and inadequacies.

that's not fair. what is it he's supposed to have done? to try to get rid of someone because in your opinion the deserve it is an evil thing to do.

If they truly deserve it then that's different but no one on here should even think about answering until they know the facts.

pretend to take pictures of him, try to chat him up and freak him out by reveiling (if you're a woman) that you're a man, or if you've had problems with him report him and get him put on the sex offenders register,
or you can just have a bit of fun doing the things I said first!
