I've never heard either of those terms used in everyday conversation. In fact, this is not a subject that comes up across the family dinner table much!
Most people keep their bedroom conversation for the bedroom.
It is rarely appropriate to discuss your most intimate feelings publicly. A couple of exceptions might be with a small group of friends, or at a public forum especially for discussing such a matter.
There is nothing *wrong* with saying either of those things, but it would certainly be out of the ordinary.
Cheers :-)

If the girl ever has hopes of being respected and not thought of as lose or easy and has aspirations of one day being a lady then no it is absolutely wrong to talk that way to anybody other than a spouse behind closed doors. Any opinions contrary to this strengthen the decay of society and moral decline. It's no wonder extremist Muslims want every American dead.

I'd say for the most part this is not for public discussion at all. Who are you going to tell that you're horny - a stranger on the street? Your father? Your brother? This has very little to do with etiquette, and a lot more to do with privacy and plain old common sense.

It is absolutely NOT appropriate to say this in a public conversation. Only one's partner needs to know that one is sexually aroused, and only in the privacy of one's own home is this appropriate. The terminology isn't the issue; one's friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers and random people do not need this information. At all.

It is the same as a guy saying that he is "dripping". I think that is generally not a socially acceptable thing to say. I feel any reference to "wet or damp" is not acceptable either in normal polite conversation.

I'd prefer that a girl just tells me that she's horny. Damp sounds kind of silly.

In my humble, yet correct, opinion, it is not OK for a girl to tell those around her that she is sexually excited.
