I actually have a running bet with a high-school friend: I say we will have a black man as president before we have a woman; he says we will have a woman before we have a black man.

I'm fine with any president who can do the job better than the last half-dozen or so trolls we've put in office. The last decent president we had was Nixon, and the whole Watergate thing screwed even that up!

This is the most narrow minded question I have seen on here in a long time. Do you generalize that all white Christian Americans dislike blacks and minorities? Why would someones race have anything to do with the ability to lead a country? Not all white christians are backwards hicks in some Appalachian town in Kentucky.

i think of maximum folk with a rational recommendations ought to end that somebody with the call Barrack Hussein Obama is likely a muslim. Secondly, he could no longer probable be a Christian, as he actively, trashes the Bible.... And he's termed himself a Muslim on different occassions. no count if he's a Muslim or no longer..i do no longer understand. he's the two Muslim, Atheist, or one in all of the Anti-Christ...(i might evaluate stalin an antichrist). i understand for a fact he isn't a Christian and he's rather economically......clueless. And the only plan the Democrats and the FED have left is printing money to infinity to reinflate the housing bubble....e.g. insanity. i think....he's clueless. Jesus Christ is grace and salvation and God. Allah is fake. the belief in massive government is likewise a pretend idealogy.

Why not? I'm evangelical and would gladly vote for a black man or women if they were the best candidate.

Actually, the non-religious people in my family are the racists. We Christians dont care.

It was a white Christian president who ended slavery.

A shock, when considered essential, should be administered in milder forms and it's magnitude increased gradually.Otherwise, though an assured remedial measure,.it can prove to be fatal. There fore,as a friend and well wisher of America,I would submit that let Americans first choose a WOMAN president, get used to it and then contemplate the idea of a BLACK president.Hopefully things are likely to be more conducive to the idea in the next CENTURY.

i do not think it is fair to group all white christian americans together and say they wont support a black president. being christian and white does not dictate racism. our differences are only skin deep. skin color is any way to judge how good of a president someone could be.

I would be proud and honored to accept a person who holds dear the Constitution of our Country and who will honor our rights as citizens of this great union.

The skin tone of that person does not matter to me, nor their religious beliefs. What matters to me is the beliefs of the person for the continuing growth of our wonderful country.

EDIT:
Ooh I feel so proud. I think I just received a thumbs down from an anti-semantic racist.

Thank you soooooo much, for supporting me with your beautiful thumb here in the R&S section which promotes love and acceptance of all.

Yes, because Scripture tells them to submit to authority, so if Barack Obama became President, they would accept, maybe not like it, but accept it.
