It doesn't matter.
What is important is to enjoy life but also behave with ethics so that if there were any life after this, you can deserve the best one available.
It really isn't important whether there is an afterlife or not.
We just need to behave rationally and intelligently, with true humanistic ideals like: love, peace, courage, kindness, honesty, helpfulness. True enjoyment comes from accordance with those principles. There can be no true enjoyment without them, nor could any philosophy rightly suggest a rewarding afterlife without them.
No matter what else you think or believe, if you follow those principles, you can't go wrong.
The fear of death is the cause of superstitious beliefs and much suffering. A little logic will help you avoid excess fear.
No matter what you believe or think, goodness is its own reward. Just be good and don't worry about it. If there is an afterlife, we'll find out soon enough!

Yes i do,.. Unexplainable really,.. But I believe in the Bible,.. and i can feel the spirit of the Lord at times.. and as the word says,.. If Hope in this life was all we had,.. we would be among all men most miserable!.. And another poster mentioned not remembering things in this life,.. i believe we will. Think about this,..
Scripture says we will be judged for every Idle word,.. I don't believe we could be rightfully judged without a remembrance of what we had done.. And if we remember the mess ups,.. I am sure the good will be there too! It will all have a different meaning though.. Because at last.. we will see things as God does! We shall be like Him! Take care!

Try to ask the question to Buddhist people you know. I've just say that all Buddist people believe in next life and life after death.
By the principle of Buddism, people will receive the result of their doing (krammar), good will take you to heaven, bad will take you to hell. People were born with their fate and accept the situation they receive now and suppost that it is the result of done in the former life. So they try to make the good thing and our country is so peaceful and kind.

Yepper - and death after death
Jhn 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Jhn 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Jhn 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Yeah, but I believe we re-join the Universal Consciousness, the Energy we left to come here and experience this life for. Everything is great when we die. There's no hell. Only happiness. EVERYBODY lives on.

What you are living in now isn't your life. It is the time we spend before we go to our true home in heaven with our Lord.
