My son was born in the US and coming home next month. Upon arriving at Phil Immigration, should he present both his American and Phil passports for stamping? I've heard of different opinions on this....

Shouldn't Phil be the one to decide all this? Why not ask him?

Present the American passport of your son because he is a citizen of the US.

If he is an American citizen then he should present the American passport when entering the United States. They don't really care what other citizenship he has.

He should present his US passport whenever he is in the US. While in the Philippines, he should probably present his Phil passport, but I'm not sure on what their rules are.

Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship.
