Everyone seems to be telling me I have a double layered DVD and that is why my DVD keeps ejecting so let me say this again. All of the DVD's I have tried are store bought AMERICAN DVD's with a label on one side and the playable side. It ejects the disc and says wrong disc type but has no problem playing the disc cleaner. This is an RCA 32 inch with built in VCR/DVD COMBO. I thought you would all give me an idea and so far you have all assumed I have a burned disc in there which I don't. Thanks anyway

Store bought american DVD so Region 1 DVD correct? Ok RCA 32 inch TV with VCR and DVD bulit in. Is the DVD player in the TV also Region 1? Why is this importatnt? Region 1 DVD's will only play in Region 1 DVD players (or players that do not have a Region # requirement). If both the DVD and player are Region 1 then I suspect there is something wrong with your DVD player and you will have to take it in to get it looked at. Yes I know you say it can read the disc cleaner but I suspect it is a DVD/CD cleaner and if so, it is actually a CD with a cleaning brush and the CD reading portion of the player works but not the DVD reading section. CD's are much easier to read than DVD's

Dual layered means that it has two layers of coating on the non-label side of the dvd. It can store two layers of information. Built in dvd players are usually low quality, and you will have to buy an up to date dvd player to be able to play movies.
