We absolutely should deport all illegals NOW! There is no way we can teach our children about right and wrong and abiding by the law or breaking it if we set the example that if you break the law for long enough without getting caught, you get a free pass. That's what we would be telling our kids by letting illegal immigrants stay based on how long they have been here without being detected. Is that really the lesson we want to teach the next generation about the law?

It very well could be if we don't do something about illegal immigration now.We are already a second class country.
I live part-time in Eastern Europe, they are living the life style pretty much like in the US. Yes, there is still poverty here in the countryside but in the city you would think you are in the West.
I am happy for them here because I have seen what they lived like when it was run by the communists. They deserve to have the good life too.
It does make me wonder though, what has happened to the USD? The Euro is so much stronger that being an American has lost all of it's glamour.I feel like a poor American in Europe.
I wanted to add: It seems that we as Americans have been living on our past glory,we have been taking it easy and living on our past glory while the rest of the world has been working hard to catch up to our level of living.Their education is much higher then what we give the kids in public schools in the US.We as a nation are being held back by the selfish policies of our government. It breaks my heart to think of what our parents and grandparents went through for us to see it all going down the toilet.

Still, in the 1940s Untied States had a living standard similar today to modern Mexico. therefore, were not becoming a 3rd world country in 20 years. The amount of cars per 1000 people increase from 334 from 1956 to 750 by 2006. Living standards have gone up even if income disparties have gone up. Look at Mexico, Russia they are economically like Western Europe during the 1950s today. We all tend to lose objectiivty and clarity of how much better we have it today than in 1960s. Minnesota in the 1960s in some farming areas near suburbs people still had outhouses, and certain areas did not have electricty till the end of that decade. Applachia in 1960s today would be considered third world country areas, and Illegal immigration have nothing to do with Untied States living standards it has to do with Mexicos living standards. People will leave Mexico long as curroption, thuggery is present, and the income disparty is present. Trying to find ways to close the income gap thru higher economic growth would slow immigration somewhat.

"Will America become a Third World country in 20 years?"
Not if this well-armed Patriot has anything to say about it. You can quote me on that.
"...explain to me why we should or shouldn't deport all illegals now."
Illegal aliens lower the standards of living in America not only financially, but also by increasing the violent crimes rates, teaching their kids that it's okay to break a law if you disagree with it or if you have a misguided notion that the law doesn't apply to you, gangs, welfare, misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment, burning the US flag, protest rallies, illegal voting, identity theft, credit fraud, and so many others.

Twenty years, you are too generous. Many of our towns are fourth world already. Every year, we lose good cities and town to overwhelming illiterate populations.
Did you know that El Paso was founded by whites? Did you know it was well constructive with a downtown area that is larger than that of San Antonio's?
Did you know that about 6000 whites leave here yearly and are being replaced by illegals? Did you know the impact it has left on the economy? Did you know that whites and blacks find it hard to become employed and many ended up in the homeless shelters?
I say this to highlight that twenty years has already arrived.

-Job shortages due to outsourcing
-Approx. 15 million jobs lost to illegals
-wage depression due to illegal undercutting and greedy businesses
-A "dead-broke state" is exactly that and not capable of being anyone's sugar daddy
-Middle class American's are struggling to keep or find jobs, support their own children, keep their homes, etc., etc..........
Great post!! Those are the reasons I gleaned from it and fully agree with as to why we should deport all illegals right now.
