You commit a sin for transgressing [breaking] The Law. But that's not the end of it*.
Once you realize that you have done so, and truly feel sorry that you did, you have the opportunity to atone for your sin. This is done by confessing to God and asking [or begging] for forgiveness from God AND the person that you have sinned against, if you have wronged another person. Be sure that when you ask for forgiveness, you will also make a vow to sin no more and that you keep your promise to show repentance.
Pray the Lord's Prayer very slowly and mean every word that you say. Be sure that when you pray, you do it alone in secret and that you kneel for respect and reverence. Pray only to God, our Heavenly Father... and to no one else.
[*] CAVEAT: However, if you happen to commit a sin and you [suddenly] die without being forgiven for doing it --for example, you commit suicide, or you decide not to right what you've wronged until your last breath-- then all bets are off.
Hope this helps.
Peace be with you.

Nothing, if you believe in Jesus you are not under the 10 commandments. His blood cleansed you of all sin: past, present and future. God will remember your sins no more (Hebrews 10:17). He nailed the 10 commandments to the cross (coloosians 2:14). He full filled the 10 commandments at the cross (Luke 24:44). If he did not, then he died in vain.
If you do not believe in Jesus then, yes you are under the 10 commandments.
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

It's like a mother telling a child that if he drinks coffee,he shall become a dark complexioned child.Within them selves, ten commandments present a neat summery of acts which should be adhered to[ a kind of moral code] and have served well for it's followers as a ready reckoner. How can anybody go to a place[Hell or Heaven] about which nobody knows or it's existence? Then what about the effect of confession and concept of forgiveness?Curiosity by itself if meaningless unless we use our rationality to find at least some reality about an issue,if not the Truth. Its' fine to be religious but not not when we fall in to the trap of RELIGIOSITY.No sane person should ever allow that to happen to himself.

Why don't you give up listening to what people say and read the Bible. It is so simple even a fool will not err at what it says unless they want to believe something contrary to what it says. You cannot get to heaven by hearsay anyway because you must study to show yourself approved as a workman that rightly divides the Word.
Duhhh can you throw more scriptures together in a bunch than the paraphrase above. LOL

Breaking any of the ten commandments will lead you to sin, since you have disobeyed God's rules. Sin can disturb our relation with God and with people around us. If we don't regret and seriously ask for forgiveness (which is, of course followed by true action), the pathway to hell is open widely for us (Rome 6 : 23). God will forgive us if we are serious with our apology, it means we don't play game with His forgiveness. My answer is valid not only for breaking the ten commandements but also for all kind of sins. Hope it's clear enough for you. Gbu!

There are a couple answers. First, the Bible tell us that the soul that sins, it shall die (Ezek. 18:4) and again that the wages of Sin are Death (Romans 6:24). So, your friend is right, you do go to Hell.
However, the Bible offers a way out. We're told that God doesn't want anyone to perish into Hell, but he wants everyone to come to Repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). He's come to save us from our sins as the Book of Romans Chapter 10 lays out:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."-Romans 10:9,10, 13
We're also that once we come to Christ, we shouldn't sin BUT if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father which is Jesus. (1 John 2:1) and that he is "faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. (1. John 1:9.)
So, God will forgive us and restore us if only we ask.

When you break a Commandment, you have sinned. Sadly, if it is a grave enough sin, you may go to Hell. However, as God is merciful, he gave us the gift of Reconciliation in which he will forgive our Sins. Also, there is Purgatory, again proving how merciful and just God is.
Remember, we must always try to follow God's laws but as we are human we will break them. Do not despair, seek confession and you sins will be forgiven. This is the wonder that is God's forgiveness and mercy.

Different people believe different things. Some--those who do not believe in the Judeo-Christian God--believe that nothing happens and the universe goes on without noticing.
Judaism and Christianity, however (and possibly Islam, but I am not familiar enough with Islam to say for sure--if any Muslims are on tonight they can present their stance) believe that these are the personal commands of God himself; to break any one of them is to openly defy God.
Judaism has a ritualistic means for atoning for sinning, or violating God's commands. The old ways involved animal or grain sacrifices, but this is not commonly practiced any more. Christianity believes that Jesus was the final sacrifice for all humanity, and that believing in him and accepting personal salvation through him will atone for all of your sins.
Both Judaism and Christianity believe that if you do not atone for your sin (by proper ritual in Judaism or by confession to Jesus in Christianity) then you will not be allowed into heaven after you die on earth.

When you break any of the ten commandments, you seem a little immoral to Christians. You might also lose some respect for yourself too if you care.
Another thing that may possibly happen is that you have a higher likelihood of going to hell after you die.
These are just possibilities however, and are not absolute facts of reality.

OK. you should know the result of the mistake you did as it is the meaning of the word "hell" . You do not need to see anywhere because it's in your mind to make you"re in trouble, sad something.
If we compare the heaven to be the restaurent and the hell to be jail, when you make something wrong, you think police (God) will take you to the restaurent or jail. That is the answer so you can do now, forget it and do it to the right way, make up your mind happy and accept the kramma. God bless you.
