He pretty much broke a lot of those rules, after all.

You know, we no longer throw rocks at someone for being a problem child or not being a virgin before marriage or something.

And, we no lnoger need to fulfill the 10 commandments right? Coz Jesus put up the new golden rules.

Can anyone qoute from the Bible which part it says we no longer need to follow the OT rules and stuff.

Jesus did break some rules..like the "no miracles on sabbath day" rule.

And He pretty much objected to the "stoning the prostitute" rule.

Ok religion has people messed up Jesus loves this people that's why He says Don't judge someone for doing wrong because when you do wrong who don't want to be judge we all fall short no one is perfect but the Lord who created us its not about following rules it's about being like your Creator knowing right from wrong doing good instead of evil

When Christ was born, he fulfilled all the phrophicies in the Old Testament. That is the belief of some religions anyway, and I agree. I don't want anything to do with the Old Testament God. There are many spirits that can convince man they are God. So I ignore the OT and focus on the New Testament. In there we were given the most important commandment: To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might and to love your neighbor as you love yourself. If we would all follow that single commandment we could break no law.
Blessed Be

Jesus came because mankind could not even stay true to the Ten Commandments and therefore need a Savior. Jesus did not take away or get rid of the 10 Commandments but rather added to them" Love your neighbor as yourself".

Also, do not forget about the OT. It is an important part fo Salvation History and teaches about God's relationships with his people.

Jesus did not sin and did not break any of the 10 Commandments. He did violate certain customs of his time that were made by Men and not God( ie associating with women, calling out the hypocrites, eating with sinners and outcasts)

Well the old testament is the way that people were to live in the oldern days. Now that times have changed god had men write another book in the bible called the new testimate. Which is the way we are suppouse to live now-a-days. So i would not freak out if you have not followed the rules in the old testament because that's not the way that we live now. Any ways it's always best to have a close relastionship with god because he is always there for you. He forgives you when you do wrong, he understands you more than you think you understand your self. He is just a amazing person and so trustworthy and a great listener. So just Pray to him and talk to him every day and any question that you have ask him. trust me now that i have a closer relationship with him all day i am happy and smiling and i dont know why. But i figured out that i needed someone to talk to about anything with out judgement and people on this earth is so judgemental so i felt that i could not talk to anyone but then i began talking to him and i felt so much better. and remember god know that us as humans we will sin no matter what there is not one person on this earth that has not sinned. But he still loves you no matter what. And only the devil wants you to think that he does not love you. But god always loves us.

There are passages about homosexuality in the New Testament as well, but some branches of the church interpret them differently. Some understand those passages to refer to temple prostitution which took place among both men and women in other religions, or just selling your body in general. Others interpret it to mean any homosexual activity, prostitution or otherwise. Also, Jesus spoke of marriage as between a man and a woman. I don't know why anyone focuses on the OT passages if they're not following all the other hundreds of Mosaic laws, which weren't meant for Gentiles in the first place. (My gay Christian friends and I discuss this a lot.)

if you want to know the answer to that for real then only trhe bible will tell you. you cant get the whole picture from bits and pieces onthe net.

start with these rules he gave us:

1
"do unto others as YOU WOULD HAVE others do unto you"

2
"judge not or you will be judged* and by the same standard which you judge them, you will be judged also"

*paraphrased read the sermon on the mount for the proper language" book of matthew chapter 5

they are the most basic rules. Get them right before you worry about the rest, because nothing else makes more of a difference than these two rules

Child everything you said is exactly backwards. When you get old enough for reading and comprehension then read your bible to learn the truth. Until then stop listening to dead heads that say they know when they haven't a clue.
Christ never broke even one commandment but proved the Pharisees had lost the meaning of the law.
He never said don't stone anyone. some need stoning even today they just don't get it. He said Let he who is without sin throw the first stone. Is that you? Are you trying to throw rocks at Jesus? Bad Boy!!!

To believe according to the Gospel is enough to become Christian and to be saved. It was written: Repent and believe in the Gospel. The Law was not bad. It is people distorted it. The Old Testament is not separated in the Bible from the New Testament. We must take everything what is good from the Old Testament, but not that contradict to the New Testament. People made so vain traditions that can't draw us near to God. We must not do anything more than what is written in the New Testament. We are not under the Law, but under the grace of God.

The New Testament is quite clear on this issue. The Old Testament laws, statues and commandments are no longer applicable for people under the New Covenant [New Testament]. The rules and traditions of the Old Testament were given to Moses for the Jews [Israelites] to observe. Since these laws were impossible for any human to keep. the Israelites failed in their observation of them. The Law lacked love and was limited in its application because, for example, "Thou Shall Not Kill [Murder]" - It was perfectly alright to beat the snot out of someone, as long as, you didn't kill him or her. God was setting them up to be a model nation but since they did not have the Holy Spirit available to them (a few exceptions were David, the prophets, and a few others - that's it) ! Only God could fulfil a Holy law; therefore, Jesus Christ [God in the flesh] came and fulfilled them. His death on the cross annulled any keeping of any of the Old Testament ways by human beings from that point onward. Today, Christians worship God in both, "spirit and truth" thereby, love for both, God and mankind suffice. Jesus did observe the Laws of the Old Testament - BUT not the way the religious leaders (Pharasees) of His time thought He should.
The Pharasees had written in [added] their very own laws (439 of them) to attempt to have people of that day, totally conform to the way that THEY (not, God) would have them. Christ was always at odds with those guys and their knit-picking. Eventually, the Pharasees plotted to have Jesus murdered because of His lack of conformity to THEIR ways.

Jesus was sinless so it means He obeyed all 613 commandments in the OT. However, it was the traditions of the elders which are in the Talmud that Jesus did not follow completely. The rules He kept, but the traditions hHe disagreed with.
