lion of judah i thnk you are the one who don't know anything.
as i have repeated before , i asked because apparently i saw some christian websites proving earth doesnt move , and that it's the sun that revolve around earth instead.
went further to say that nasa is lying and stuff . some even say the spherical earth we see in websites and books are actually photoshops and is faked.

true , den it would be the merry go round situation , the one in MGR see outside enviroment spinning around her while people outside MGR see the one inside MGR the only spinning one.
therefore to test this , the pendulum experiment is often used. if the earth isnt moving , pendulum would only move to and froth while if the earth is rotating , the pendulum would move abit circular..

There are so many chronological discrepancies faced in the bible, that this one seems fairly minor. What about the idea that the bible places the earth at around 12,000 years old? If the earth were rotating faster, or means of measuring time back then made years shorter than theye are now, then that 12,000 would be diminished further. I don't mean to disrespect anyone's value system, but I just find that impossible to buy. Look at it this way; pass the bible on to any historian and see what they, looking at it as a professional, make of it as a literal account of what happened. I dont think theye will give it too much mileage

I don't. But how many people do you know that don't say things like:
"The sun came up," "It's sundown" , "That's a sunset", "When the sun rises" , "The day is long" , "The night came" , etc.
The sun doesn't go down, It doesn't go up. The sun does not set, and it does not rise. Night doesn't come. All those are just expressions. And it's not a good argument to say that the colloquial terms that we use every day means that we are not scientific in reasoning, we just want to use the short version of what we are talking about so that we do not have to say things like: " When the Earth spins on it axis and the sun becomes visible through the atmosphere for another interval which we call day. "
It might be a more scientific way of saying it, but it would be rather stupid to talk like that when no one wants to hear it.

We also believe that French Lop rabbits are made of cheese...lol
No, I don't think that the sun rotates around the earth. The entire balance on weather on the planet would be severely altered and life probably wouldn't be able to exist on it...That's why God made the Earth rotate around the Sun at the right point and angle.

If I remember my high school science classes correctly, it's a matter of perspective. If you look at it from a galactic view, the earth does not actually circumnavigate the sun; they actually do a kind of wobbly dance together. However, if you look at it only from a solar view, then it does.
Long answer to a short question, sorry.
No, I don't believe the sun orbits the earth.

"no offense"? Yeah right.
How many atheists believe ignorance is bliss?-no offense.
There are no atheist in foxholes-no offense.
I am sure with some effort Christians could find some ridiculous claims on some atheist web sites too. We just have better things to do then trying to discredit atheists for their lack of belief.

It was nails and teeth getting that one passed into the religious rights accepted beliefs (for the most part). Now lets take a deep breath and press on, next up: evolution.
