There are many symptoms of molestation/abuse that show up later in life....I'm not sure if there is an age range of when the abuse would have taken place. The symptoms I know of are:
Drug/alcohol abuse, eating disorders, promiscuity, acting out in an inappropriate sexual manner, pain or panic during sex, lack of feeling during sex, excessive need to control relationships, excessive interest in pornography, low self-esteem, lack of interest or ability to take care of self, nightmares, sudden memories or unexplainable physical problems, they are easily affected, hot-tempered, jumpy, excessively alert and don't fall asleep easily.

You would have trust issues. You also would have rage. Even if you cant remember consciously your body has "body memory" . That means if someone touches you in a similar way you can have panic or fight and flight urges that you don't understand. Young abuse victims can have very serious problems dealing with day to day life. Blocked memories cause many other problems that show up as behavior that causes the person further harm.
There are even physical medical problems that show up much later in life that stem directly from the psychological damage done to those who have been sexually molested ( especially those abused repeatedly over time) .It all stems from the changes in brain chemistry that get locked in the fight or flight response . Abuse causes so much more damage than ever realized.

I think there may be physical symptoms -- hard time swallowing, trust issues (of course), and others have mentioned, physical damage if anal or genital penetration was involved.
But it would probably depend on the person. If you are having problems, it doesn't matter if you were NOT molested -- you need help, even if you weren't! But if you were molested, it might be helpful for the therapist or counsellor to know that.
Molestation ranges from inappropriate fondling to some really, really horrific stuff, so it's hard to say exactly what the symptoms could be. Leave it to a trained specialist. What matters is NOW.

To a trained and knowledgeable psychologist
there is a way of looking at the behavior and attitudes of a person in that work together forming a pattern or sets of patterns in how the person thinks, acts, and responds to others.
A chld who has been moslested will have behaviors and/ or emotions out of the ordinary for that age and development.
One possible outcome is Multiple Personality, formed as a small chld to keep the strength of the trauma away from the core personality, but it can become distruptive as the person matures. Two of the tell-tale symptoms of Multiple Personality / Dissociative Identity Disorder are
1) hearing voices within the head
2) losing or missing blocks of time, not remembering it

More often than not they will put you through regression therapy. This is when they hypnotize you and bring you back to when you were younger and see if anything like this happened to you. If you have been having bad dreams about it there is a strong possibility that you were. The hardest part about all of this is that you have no name for the act when you are little and it is not a positively reinforced memory. The details may be sketchy if you were younger than three, though.

I can't remember anything that happened before my 6th birthday. My mind drew a blanket over these memories to protect me as I could not handle it. I know i was molested. Talked with brother and sister who also were by the same person. Now that I know I am sorry he is dead.

Yes, you could have issues in romantic or sexual relationship. It is possible to have memories, depending on the age. I don't know how you'd know if you don't have any memories and didn't tell anyone.

Lots of arm chair psychiatrists here ... if no physical trauma or damage was inflicted there would be no later consequences. Though, the perpatrator may have older victims as well, and you know from watching news the results of that.
By the way, the regression therapy comment is a load of crap ... its along the same lines as seeing a witch doctor.
