What do you think about this? How does it affect you?
"The US Federal Bureau of Investigation's counter-terrorism chief, Dale Watson, says he thinks Osama bin Laden is "probably" dead.
It is thought to be the first time a senior US law-enforcement official has publicly offered an opinion on whether Bin Laden, the prime suspect believed to be behind the 11 September attacks, is dead or alive.
"Is (Bin Laden) alive or is he dead?" Mr Watson said. "I am not really sure of the answer... I personally think he is probably not with us anymore but I have no evidence to support that."
The remarks, made at a law-enforcement conference in Washington on Wednesday, follow recent statements from both an Arabic newspaper editor and the chief of German foreign intelligence that Bin Laden is still alive."

I'm Canadian so I'm not as up-to-date on bin Laden as some, but if it would help the world get along a little better, I'd be relieved if he were dead.
But I can't believe it's possible! No "body" has shown up! Why hasn't someone at least leaked the whereabouts of a body hidden somewhere?
Can you imagine how helpful the millions of US dollars reward would be to some Muslim right-hand-man who turned him in, dead or alive? The man would never have to worry about assassins coming to kill him or his family in the night if he could afford the best security bodyguards in the world! He could "buy" his way into Iraqi government and do a lot of good for his people.

If he is alive then he is really good at hiding! I am sure some criminals out there will like to get a piece of his strategy. Nevertheless he should be captured( if alive) and brought to justice. MIght I say a little harsher than Saddams for all the running around!

Does it mean we would have less security at the airports?
One general is dead...the army still lives on.
Wish I could be happy about it, but as much as I travel, I can't.
(not paranoid fear - flew out of Madrid one day after the bombing, and was about to 4 days from going to England when the bomb hit there )

While I will never say another's death makes me happy, knowing for certain that he is dead could definitely have some positive effects.
