I am doing a project on the drug Paxil/Paroxetine
I need an answer for each of the following questions:

1. Explain how the drug affects the entire human body, in particular the brain.

2. Descibe the dangers associated with taking the drug.

3. Explain the difference between the physical and psycological dependence for the drug.

4. Describe the withdrawal symptoms associated with the drug.

1. Explain how the drug affects the entire human body, in particular the brain.
>>A:Paroxetine increases the amount of serotonin- a natural substance in the brain that helps maintain mental balance. As a result, it counteracts depression,panic disorder and social anxiety disorder. It is also used to treat chronic headaches, tingling in the hands and feet caused by diabetes, and certain male sexual problems.

2. Desribe the dangers associated with taking the drug.
>>A: It is possible to have serious side effects after taking this drug. One possible danger that could happen is the change of ones mental health resulting to suicidal thoughts. Dizziness and confusion as the side effect puts someone proned to accident and danger.

3. Explain the difference between the physical and psycological dependence for the drug.
>>A: Physical dependence pertains to a condition where negative physical withdrawal symptoms appear after abrupt discontinuation of a certain drug. The body had some changes that it could not function properly without the drug. For example: A physical dependence on opioids means that the brain has made so many changes in response to repeated opioid stimulation that it now actually needs opioids to function "normally."

While the psychological dependence refers to continued drug use for reasons other than tolerance and withdrawal, such as a desire to experience a drug's pleasurable effects. Usage is insisted in spite of its negative effect on the individual's life.For example, people who are opioid-dependent feel a need to keep using opioids even if it hurts their health, job, finances, or family.

4. Describe the withdrawal symptoms associated with the drug.
>>A: Stopping suddenly this drug may result to the following withdrawal symptoms:depression, mood changes, abnormally excited mood, irritability, anxiety, confusion, dizziness, headache, tiredness, numbness or tingling-{ in the arms, legs, hands, or feet},unusual dreams,insomnia,upset stomach,or sweating.
