I assume you have a fascination with Gerber, but why. There are many other and better knives available today. Walmart sells Gerber, that should be a clue. They provide a low cost, ok quality product. I would rather have the SOG Flash II (http://cgi.ebay.com/SOG-FLASH-II-KNIFE-PARTIALLY-SERRATED-NEW-NO-BOX_W0QQitemZ120152610637QQihZ002QQcategoryZ88920QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)combo edge than the ar325, Sog provides a much better product than Gerber. They Fatty just looks annoying and non-functional. As for the Tread, a SOG, Leatherman, or Kershaw would really be a better choice.

The Tread isn't really a knife. It's a multi-tool that contains a knife blade. So, I don't know how to compare it to the other two. Both the Fatty and the AR 3.25 are similar sized lock blades with different blade designs and different handle materials, the quality of construction should be equal, therefore it becomes a matter of what you plan to use the knife for. If the blade design is not an issue it's just a matter of aesthetics and price. Do you like how it looks and feels, is the price what you want to pay? Without knowing how you plan to use the knife it is impossible to make any sort of difinitive recommendation.

Both Buck and Gerber make great knives. Personally I am a Buck man. I normally carry a folding knife as I am a Scoutmaster and Scouts does not allow fixed blades anymore. For everyday use, I carry a small single blade Buck pocket knife. When we go on camp outs, I carry a larger one with three blades. When I buy a gift for a new Eagle scout - well for anyone actually - I buy them a Buck. BUT - bottom line is that both are good, long lasting. Both hold an edge well. Both stand-up to abuse. I doubt you could wrong with either one.

The AR 3.25, I've held....didn't buy. I can't stand soft handle scales on a pocketknife. A pocketknife is a tool, not a weapon....and I don't give a rat's rear if it sticks to my hand.
The Fatty, I've never seen in person. I like sunfish patterns, though. Looks interesting.
The Tread, I actually bought when it was on sale at SMKW. I, too, like Gerbers. It's not a pocketknife, though. If you carry it in your pocket, it turns the pocket inside out every time you try to drag it out. Where the other fellows got that a Tread is a multitool, I don't know. Makes a terrific whittler, though. The grip goes easy on your thumb webbing and the reverse tanto tip makes detailing easy. I passed it on to my brother in law, though.
A choice between those three? I'd have to go for something along the lines of their International plain blades instead.

Sleek, classy, pocket friendly. The rubber is in the right place.

Gerber Gators. They are a little older but by far the best from Gerber in my opinion.
