A favorite saying going round YQ&A's is" Be the change you wish to see." By Mahatma Ghandi
Think locally, act globally. Don't remember who said that.
Be the God of small steps. Every considered peaceful kindness no matter how seemingly small is a great gift to humanity and to yourself. Cheers

As long as we have religious fundamentalists we will have wars. Lets not blame religion in general. Oh and most wars have been fought over economics, ideology, and land. So there is a solution...kill the rich. I am being facetious, of course, since i do not believe in killing at all, however, since the rich love the status quo and middle class don't give a rats *** as long as they dont end up poor, things arent going to change unless people are socially re-engineered to be more responsible to each other and the environment.

No humans can make this world a better place except God's Kingdom. This is the whole theme of the Bible and what the good news is all about. Even Jesus preached about it when he was here on earth.
When will it come? When Jehovah God puts an end to this system of this, when He brings Armageddon (or Rapture as some call it). Then He will bring His Kingdom where Jesus will be His anointed king.

As a Humanist, I find this sort of assumed helplessness extremely disturbing. Do you Christians really feel this way? From my perspective it makes one sound like a lazy child who stubbornly refuses to walk. We have to take responsibility and do ALL that we can to improve our conditions here on this planet. We're not helpless! It's foolish and immoral to throw up our hands, say "There's nothing we can do," and wait for a deus ex machina to save us.

thrilling question. We continually think of human beings because of fact the middle of the universe, yet rather we are only newcomers on earth. maximum species on earth are way older than we are, and our disappereance off the face of the Earth does no longer disturb the character a tiny bit. So we could desire to continually come to our senses and attempt to maintain the delicate stability on which we are so based to stay to tell the tale, or nature will only shift the steadiness and we ought to be destroyed only like the infinite different species interior the historical past of the planet..

This is and will ever be a warring planet. We can only make OUR personal world a better place one smile, one act of kindness at a time. THAT is do-able and worth doing.

Your outlook seems very ideal. I think that we can still keep countries and religions (even though I am an Athiest). What people must focus on is that they should live their lives and not harm anyone while they are on their living journey. If they live by this principle I don't see how any problems can arise.

#2. No, of course not. But the doctor, who can't rid the world of all disease, still sees her patients. The farmer, who can't feed everyone, still grows crops to feed some.
