German Shepherds are great dogs and very trustworthy. That being said, all dogs have to be watched around children because they may accidently hurt a child when not meaning to. Also, they have to be trained well so they don't think they are dominant.

I have a 4 year old German Shepherd named Kalo. I also have two small children. Despite his size, he is very gentle with the kids. But be warned they are very protective over children. If the kids get into a argument, Kalo will get in between them. As long as the pup comes from a respectful breeder, the German Shepherd Dog is an excellent choice.

If it is a pure bred German Shepard, you can not go wrong.. They are some of the best dogs on the earth to have around small children..

would be one of the best times to get a dog it would grow up with them and protect them much better... sure you would have to keep a eye out on both she would be loved many yrs

ya you should shephers are one of the most gental dogs on the earth :D they wouldn't hurt your sisters cause there old enough to undertand
