Because the god/gods of these religions are jealous god/gods.

Therefore, they do not allow for people of different religions to live side-by-side. These god/gods want to be the only one's worshiped, and say so, in their various books, telling people how and when to worship.

Instructing people, to preach and spread the word, and use force if necessary, to achieve it.

You are right just look around at whats happening in the world today. I have never understood people who go to church on Sunday smile in your face and say bless you. Than go to work the next day and steal pencils, pens, note pads printing paper from work. to cute the cost of there expenses so that their children will have these items for school. That's stealing. isn't that one of the commandments thy shall not steal. And yet they are the first to judge someone for being different which by the way is the first commandment thy shall not judge. How about honor thy mother and father thy days shall be longer. I have seen many people who treat their parents like dirt and when their parents really needed them the put them into a nursing home, and spend their money. Then they wonder why they are having a hard time in their own lives. The bible states clearly what you give out you receive. I love reading all the chapters of Proverbs there is a lot of wisdom written there. Many unbelievers or believers think if God loved us so much why did he allow this to happen. He didn't. He give us freedom of choice what we choose is what we get.

Man was always in conflict and this source can not be traced to Christianity, Religions, Governments, or Culture. The source is the heart of man.

Matthew 15
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

The reason people of different religions can't get along is because of one little human flaw. Believe it or not, every human being has a void within him or her that calls out "I'm not ok! I need something to make me whole again!" This void is what makes us seek validation and redemption. We seek other people and things to fill these voids, such as a wife/husband, a career, a TV, a movie, the Internet.... In these things we find acceptance, appreciation, companionship, etc. Similarly, in any specific religion, the reason so many get along in the group is because they accept each other because they agree on belief. Where as when someone disagrees they are usually not accepted. We only tend to like those who accept us, and dislike those who don't accept us. With this balance of acceptance and un-acceptance we create a system of hierarchy. There are those who are above us, and those who are below us. We constantly try to climb the ladder and in desperate times we push others down to maintain our place. This bitter battle is what causes debates, arguments, fights, even wars and murder. It causes greed, and theft in that we desire what others higher in the hierarchy have. It causes us to cheat on our partners because we don't find satisfaction(validation) in our mate. It causes us to rush into relationships, seek other religions; we will do anything to fill this void within us. But each of these things is a well that is broken and dried up. How do you fetch water from a broken well? It will only make you thirst again.

Among all the religions and prophets in the world, honestly there is only one man who claimed he could cure us of this need to fill the void. He name is Jesus. He said, "I am the Living Water" which fills to quench the thirst and make us no longer thirty again.

Believe in what you wish, but be cautious to seek validation in other human beings. They can and may one day hurt, and deceive you.

Because each religion claims to be the right one and all others are wrong. It's called absolutism and it is insidious. Each claim their book to be the absolute truth, so all other books are a threat to the righteousness that is cooked up by this hard-headedness. To Christians, Muslims are deemed worshipers of a false god. To Muslims, Christians are infidels worshiping a false god.
And so it goes.

Hmmm. Maybe you ought to prove that Adam or Eve even existed.

People have fought, and people have gotten along. The fighting has gotten more attention, I think.

People write poems that begin "I sing of arms and a man . . . " not "Everybody was getting along just fine . . ."

I can get along with anyone as long as they don't try to shove their beliefs down my throat. I don't really fancy being called a godless heathen or being told that I will burn in hell or the countless number of other insults thrown at me because of my religious choice. It called a religious CHOICE for a reason

love, peace, and chicken grease!!

Because most of these religions are inherently divisive (the others, you will never find starting wars (ever heard of a Humanist crusade/inquisition? Me neither).

As long as a religion contains a tenet that ITS believers are the "chosen" or the "saved" or special above non-believers in any way, its members will NEVER truly find peace in this world. And how can they expect to? They exalt themselves above others for no good reason.

first we have to seperate religion first.

2 sides - 1st side believe moral good = heaven
- 2nd side believe only faith = heaven

2nd side try to show 1st side that faith is the key not works , 1st side sure felt pissed cos it doesnt make sense to them and that they could be right too . thus fight occurs.

66% of religion will always disagree with the 33% of the other religion.

in this 33% , difference occurs and split into 3 part.

faith only , faith + good work , moral good gets you to heaven.

thus if that 33% couldnt get along , how could the 66% of other religion get along with this 33% ?

You can't get along with a relgion that says your views are BALPHEMOS.

That applies to Christains and Atheists
Muslims and Christains

It doesn't necessarily apply to Hindus or Buddhists
