I can't believe that now, in the 21st century, spanking is still legal and even sometimes socially acceptable in a "civilized" country like the U.S.! Spanking is a terrible form of violence, and it teaches children that violence is acceptable! Not to mention that spanking is a form of sexual assault, because the buttocks are a sexual region! All parents who spank must be pedophiles who get sexual pleasure from beating their children on a private, sexual region of their bodies! And when kids are beaten on such a private part of their bodies, it teaches them to submit to pedophiles! Spanking also teaches girls to submit to abusive husbands later in life! Spanking is primitive and outdated! It's a fossilized relic from a bygone era! Why do parents still use such a brutal and primitive method of discipline now in the 21st century? Spanking should be illegal everywhere and parents who spank should be burned at the stake or crucified or drawn&quartered!

Oh, and by the way, why do all you child beaters call it "spanking"? If you'd call "spanking", by it's true name, beating, or at least "hitting", instead of all this wishy-washy, cutesie-wutesie "spanking" cr@p, i bet spanking would already be illegal! I can't believe anyone would sugar-coat the beating of a child like that! If you spank your children, you are an evil, violent, pedophile, and you should be burned at the stake!

OK, OK,i guess i am the same person who asked the question "Why the h**l is spankign still legal in the U.S.A.". I can't believe you caught on to that. I asked this question to make fun of anti-spanking fanatics like Chris Dugan, they always go on and on and on and on and ON about how spanking is violent, spanking teaches children to be violent, spanking is evil, spanking is sexual abuse, parents who spank are stupid and ignorant, all children who are spanked will be violent later in life, spanking is a form of rape, etc.! So i decided to make fun of them by asking that other question, but i didn't get very many answers so now i asked it again.

By the way, i'm surpised no one commented on how i said "parents who spank should be burned at the stake or crucified or drawn&quartered!", I would have thought that someone would point out that it's rather hypocrytical to say that spanking is a form of violence but such inhumane methods of execution are not.
And Casey, i'm sorry, but you are an @$$hole if you are such an anti-spanking fanatic that you would actually agree with someone who advocates Burning at the stake, Crucifiction, and Drawing&Quartering! Especially just for spanking!

LOL, Thank You for the good LAUGH
I'd ask you this - Why is the US still head and shoulders above the rest of the world? BECAUSE THIS IS STILL A FREE COUNTRY! Our government doesn't tell us how to raise our children, that is a privet matter, and the government only steps in when they need to. Spanking will always be legal in the US, or at least during my lifetime it will.
That is the only rant I'll respond to, your other opinions are just off the wall.
Thanks again for the laugh!

The United States. Democratic status. Was the source of the controversy at Valley Forge. The founding fathers were democratic. The people who wanted a republic almost starved the entire American army out to prove their point. Then it was set up as a democracy for the people and Thomas Jefferson ended up speaking a lot about it. Then these losers called the puratins came in, representing the republic (big businesses). They fought for almost 100 years to reverse the constitution and all the equal rights stuff. Now you see it, they still try to make it a nazi or king james state. But most of what they have done is public. Because of their joker mentality, now many huge financial industry based entities have more power then people and actually contradict what America stands for. America is supposed to be a democracy, but because of the corrupt idiots who took unrestrained actions. Some things like the federal government. Even though they are a corporation. As a ruling body. It's just a mish mash of good people and dirty people who support business over people.

there i s difference between spanking and beating when you spank a child you explain to them what they did wrong and why you are doing it you only spank your child on the bottom and never do it out of anger. you also never use objects. when you beat a child you leave them black and blue and you don;t care were you are hitting them and you do it just because they are being kids.
it is still legal here because there is a huge difference in the two. people who spank there children get more respect and there kids know that if they do something wrong that they will be punished people who use time out their kids know that they can get away with murder
maybe if more parents spanked their kids there would not be so many kids out of control in america

Have you looked at our prison populations lately. Idiots like you that believe that children should be catered to instead of disciplined for bad behavior, raise the children of society that are unable to follow our rules. Spanking and beating are entirely two different things. I have never beaten my children, but I have put them over my knee and given them a good spanking. Sorry please stand in the corner for lying, cussing, ditching school, stealing, or worse just doesn't cut it. My kids are very respectful, well adjusted, and grew up very disciplined. Neither of my kids would ever say they were abused. Sorry but you really need to get a life and stay out of mine.

First of all, are you even a parent??? second of all, if a child goes through their life with no form of discipline, you will have dangerous and unruly kids. you obviously have no clue what being a parent consists of and you would probably be the first person to speak up about bad parenting if you see a kid running around crazy in a store. A parent has the right to discipline the child that they carried for 9 1/2 months and pushed out of their body. Dont try and tell me you think discipline should be ILLEGAL because you are asking the world to go to hell in a hand-basket.

Are you a parent? My oldest daughter, who was infrequently spanked as a child!!!!(and standing behind me as I answer this) says spanking taught her that their is an immediate consequence for bad behavior. She is no where near submissive, is intelligent, hard working and speaks her mind and asks questions when she feels I am being unfair or overly authoratative.
I was occasionally spanked as a child and had my ex husband arrested the one and only time he raised his hand to me!
I think you should raise your children as you see fit, but back off on the rest of us that see an occasional swat to the butt or slap on the hand as a part of our discipline methods.

yea it sounds like you dont have children of your own and its very clear you dont have a clue of what its like to have children.while spanking should be used as a last resort ...there is nothing wrong with it...every child needs fear in their life!!children do need discipline and they need to know that there will be consequences to their bad behavior.Just even the thought of getting a spanking in some cases is enough reason for them to second guess them selfs and not behave badly....and a spanking does NOT give pleasure!!!!!...i got many in my younger days and it was VERY effective!!im proud of who i am and my family is a very loving and caring one.

haha. troll.
i knew i remembered answering a question almost exactly like this one before. same lame excuses for not spanking as the other one. it's good to know that since i was spanked, i allow men to beat up on me, and i submit to pedophiles. wow.
and if you're actually serious. you need help.
Here's my question to you... Why is it legal for ignorant people to still walk the face of the earth?

There is worse abuse then spanking, i consider spanking a form of discipline. People who beat their kids, and send them to the hospital should be punished. The people who rape, and drown kids should be burned.
