Most of the dreams I remember are rather mundane, dealing with day to day events. But this one dream I had a few weeks ago was really different. First off, it was a dream within a dream. An occurrence I can’t remember ever having before.
I was dreaming that I was dreaming about a young woman I met at a book store and we seemed to hit it off pretty well. There was the typical flirting and all that. Then I woke from the dream within the dream and was dreaming that I happened to drive by and stop at a book store and the same young woman I had just dreamed about was in the store. When I told her that I have already met her in a dream I had a few hours before, instead of being receptive and friendly she backed away as if I were some kind of a nut and left the book store.
And I haven’t a clue as to how to interpret this dream. You want to give it a shot?
Please be sincere.

I'm pretty sure that it was not a dream transference device where the girl represented me. First, I can't imagine myself ever as a woman, or even ever subconsciencely transferring my gender. Second, there have been a number of times where I have met and became friends with women that I've met at book stores or art galleries or museums in real life, so such an occurrence isn’t unusual. And I'm still not sure what the dream was trying to tell me. But perhaps it has to do with a wish fulfillment (a new woman in my life or whatever?) and my fears that the wish either won't come true or is doomed.
