ive had my braces on about a year and now have elastics to correct my overbite. there is about a 1cm gap when i bite on my back teeth, does any1 no roughly how long it will take to move with the elastics.

Well first off are you sure you have to move one centimeter?? That sounds like a lot maybe he said one millimeter? That's waht my ortho said, I just needed to move like 2 millimeters back. But anyways if it is one centimeter it may take a while it took my mouth about 6 weeks to move 3 millimeters forward! (it wasn't supposed to move that much but I wore them too long without getting it checked) lol. So it may take a few months. Good luck and take some pain pills...

Yes keep wearing them as long as your supposed to! Then your braces will most likely come off on the day your ortho said they will!! Good luck!

Im not sure. Ask your orntidontist, usually time is going to vary for each individual.
