CS3 is the latest, but it starts at $650.00 and is designed for graphics professionals. You might consider the latest version of Photoshop Elements, which is less than $100 and is easier to use since it's geared toward home users.

photoshop cs3. it is not possible to get a full version of it for free. u can d/l a 30 day trial of it though.
