I don't understand why they allow Cup drivers in the Busch series...wait, yes I do...to sell tickets.
The Busch series should be a developmental league. No full-time Cup driver should be allowed to run more than 5 races. Heck, you never see PGA Tour players going down to play in Nationwide Tour events. Baseball players don't go play a AA minor league game on Friday nights...
I realize that they want to sell tickets, but frankly I'd be more interested in watching up and coming drivers duke it out week in and week out to try and earn their spot on a Cup team.

Back when NASCAR cup racing was fun the cup drivers would run a race here and there mainly for a sponsor deal or to get a chance to run a track that they have had trouble at. Never to try and become the Busch champ. What is going on today is just wrong. I really don't have an idea why NASCAR lets this go on but it's there game so they can play it how they want.
I don't watch them to much any more. I'm really just about fed up with the whole bunch. If it wasn't for the great old tracks in the south east and east I would stop all together.

There are a lot of factors to consider. On one hand the Nextel cup guys really should let the Busch guys just race against each other. That way they get their own purses and are guaranteed fair competition.
However, it is good for the Busch series guys to race against the Nextel cup boys to see what the next level up racers are like and what is to be expected - a humbling experience at the very least.
I think they should have three types of races. One for only the Busch racers, one for only the Nextel cup racers, and a smaller, mixed series of some sort where they can race each other, there is money awarded for each race, and the winner at the end of it all is the one who won the most money. Pick the top 20 finishers from the Busch and Nextel races and that's who gets in - no qualifying. Line them up at that same track and have a shorter shoot-out type race. It would be more fun, less pressure, and they could look forward to doing something enjoyable - something different each week. They could even do it for charities once in a while for publicity. Possibilities are endless!!!

You are half right. It does give the cup drivers an advantage to race on the same track the cup will be ran. The cup drivers do not ruin the Busch they are the ones that make it exciting. The Cup drivers are the ones that make the money for the Busch Series. If you ask a lot of fans why they watch the Busch they will tell you to see their favorite Cup driver! I know that i wouldn't watch the Busch if my favorite Cup driver didn't race in it! And i don't. When Jeff Burton doesn't race, its very rarely i watch the Busch! Thats just how it is! Cup Drivers make the Busch Race exciting and popular, its the Cup drivers fans want to see!
Go RCR!!!!

You are right sometimes it gives them an advantage to race the track the day before, but you also have to remember, that the track changes day to day. Some of the reason there are cup drivers in the busch series is because they are called fillers. They do not have enough Busch drivers so they have to get enough cars to start the race.

I agree somewhat, it does give the cup drivers more of an advantage, exept with the COT.
But on the other hand, it's good competition for the regular Busch drivers to drive against more experienced cup guys. But it's also unfair in the points standings for the guys who want to stay in that series and get a championship.
It has its advantages along with disadvantages.
( NascarFan31 you rule girl!!! That's the only reason I watch the Busch race too! )

Simple new rule: Except for full-time Cup rookies, nobody may drive in more than 50 NASCAR races a year. So most Busch races would still have a Cup star or two, to sell tickets and draw viewers, but they wouldn't be able to overshadow the fight for the Busch championship.
For fan appeal, I also think the Busch cars need to look different from the Cup machines. I know they aren't going with the CoT, but that's not enough. There's talk they might be going to a Camaro/Mustang bodystyle in a few years -- could be very cool.
I'd like for them to be mechanically different too. Couldn't just go back to V-6s, because then they'd be slower than the Trucks. Why not small-displacement V-6s with superchargers? Yes, I'm dreaming . . . .

Cup drivers in the BUSCH series take sponsor dollars from the up and coming talent.
Cup drivers should be limited to the number of events they can run a year.If they ,the cup driver
Bush hold stick to the short tracks and intermediate tracks. And should change the style car used so it would not be of any help to the cup teams on Sunday.

I think that a driver should not be able to run in both series on the same week. That way the big bad cup drivers would not be able to take over. I think that an exception to this rule would be for a driver such as Ambrose at Watkins Glen who was offered a one race deal from R. Gordon and is a full time Busch driver. In this instance the driver should be able to accept a opportunity, without jeopardizing his/her current team.

I think that they should let the cup drivers win races there but not give them any points or limit the amount of races that they can race, because everyweek a Nascar driver is winning a Bush race.
