nope, just a job Americans won't do for slave wages.

Let's do the math

A minimum wage job pays about 13k annually (before taxes) IF they get a full 40. So after taxes they have about 900-980 a month depending on filing status and children.

The cheapest apartment I could find locally was a 2 room efficiency for $375 a month (note not a 2-bed, a 2-ROOM)

food will cost at least $100 person per month

Utilities would be cheaper for a small apartment so lets say $150 for electric & heat. $20 for water.

If you have a job you'll need a car so $200 for a car payment and $30 for insurance throw in $40 for gas

$25 for a phone (cheap for a landline)

let's see I've covered rent, utilities, food and transportation what's left? Oh clothes, toiletries, cleaning supplies and other little things, hmm.... we'll go cheap here to and say $20 a month.

What do we have so far .... $960 a month to live in a 2 room hovel and eat raman noodles on a regular basis. Yes perhaps they can do without a car and save $240 on that ($30 a month for a bus pass instead) Let's just hope they don't have any kids or want to save to buy a house.

El Dude, back then there were Polish and other immigrants doing the jobs Americans Wont Do, including Child Labor ( kids were of immigrant families ). Unofortunately a lot of Americans would rather be supported by the government or beg on the street than work a job that doesnt pay well, or that is too much work for the money, that is what is meant when they say JOBS AMERICANS WONT DO. im sure there are lots of Americans who would be a janitor if they got paid 20 an hour, but not 7 an hour, becuase its humiliating or too much work for the money.

Yes. The places around here that only hire legals cannot keep their positions full. And I'm talking jobs that pay 8-9$ hour. The places that hire illegals have lines of people willing to work for 6.50-7$ hour. My job pays 11.20 an hour has OT Ins. 401k etc. and people quit faster than we can hire them. Its too hard, hot or some other lame excuse. So yes there are jobs Americans won't do get over it! Oh and with all these jobs available there are still many Americans on welfare and unemployment.

No, of course not.

Immigration cleaned out about 1,000 illegal aliens from a poultry processing plant in Georgia about six months ago. The company was forced to increase wages from $6 an hour to $9 a hour. They were back up and running in less than a week, fully staffed by Americans and legal permanent residents.

I was highly offended by that statement, at the same time I do not believe the government should eradicate the concept of cooperate retention problems. If a company treats it employees poorly or under compensates them, the government should not start rolling in truck loads of slaves or indentured servants.

No, there isn't. This has been proved through out the years time and time again. Americans will do any job so they can feed their family.

I have done many of those jobs that they say Americans wont do.

Oh yeah, a lot of Americans have their over-inflated pride, but that doesn't include everyone, some just think they should be hired as CEO, others work their asses off, the load of BS about illegals taking American jobs, well its bs.

Only Jobs that a legal American Citizen would not take is one that is not paying a fair wage!

No. I believe many people would not do a job that doesn't pay what they consider a fair amount of money. Nationality doesn't matter. Education and need do. Now, did that answer your question?

absolutely not. I have worked some of the hardest, lowest paying jobs in the country and I have worked with other people who have also done that kind of work.
How did the USA get to be an economic super power in the world when we didn't have so many illegal aliens? Do you guys think that history started when you considered it t have began? It didn't, the USA has a long industrious history.
