It may be an unresolved fear of failure. It may be reminding you about your fear in life. I mean everyone has this, but its odd that your dream comes in this form.
Since school represents structure, rules and success....that's why it comes to you in this form. Feeling like you forgot something and you're not in the right place may be connected to your uncertainty in real life. Do you feel as if you missed out on something in school or college? Do you feel as if you focused on a certain part of your life too much and missed something great? Maybe the profession you're doing now isn't your best choice? Maybe your brain is trying to remind you that you have another calling in life and that you haven't pursued your real destiny. maybe you're dating the wrong person or in an uncomfortable situation. Take control of something that's bothering you, don't let it eat you up inside.

A few things popped in my head when I read your excerpt. The first being that you have unfinished business in your life. The second is everytime something comes to an end in our life, whether it be a relationship, school, a job, a friendship or a death, it is a loss. The situation needs to be grieved. Obviously you are not going to grieve a loss of a job or finishing school as hard as a death of someone you love, however everyone grieves differently and for different lengths of time. Maybe you have not moved past the fact that school is over. Was it a great or possibly a horrible time in your life, those things seem to take longer to grieve. I suggest you go back and visit your school. Look around, talk to people if you can and see if that doesn't stop this dream. Good luck!

I have had a similar dream, actually several reoccuring ones. I have been doing research on dreams and although I haven't come up with anything yet, I have purchased several dream books, i.e., dream symbols and interpreting dreams. My dream that involves school is that I am rushing to class, only to find out when class starts that I have the wrong book. I haven't figured that out yet, but like I said, I am researching it all. That is my best advice is to research your dreams to find out what they mean. I dreamt the other night about being in a hotel and my room number was 777 - shoulda went to Vegas, baby......

That dream or variations of it are very common among college students. Either you're not prepared for a test, or you forgot that a term paper is due. They usually stop a while after graduation, but I've noticed when I'm under a lot of stress, they'll still come back.

Something about home communication should be easier than it is, but you've been distracted. You feel like if you had been more present, you would have been able to participate and would have been more effective.

Because it keeps happening! That's why you keep having it! That's also why it's reoccurring! Good question!
