all my other tattoos healed within 2-3 weeks. This one is still dry and peeling and it hurts. I havent had a problem with any of my other tattoos but this one really hurt. It is on the inside of my ankle. I got one on the outside of my ankle on the other leg and I didnt have any problems with it. So my question is what is wrong with this one? Will it ever heal? Do i need to go to the doctor?

Does the tattoo have red ink in it?
I had the same problem when I got a few red designs done...some people have allergies to the pigments and metals in red tattoo ink.
If so, just continue caring for it (with Eucerin, Lubriderm, or another fragrance-free lotion) and give your doctor a ring. Usually this sort of reaction goes away on its own. Don't be alarmed if it takes a little time. Mine took about 8 weeks to chill out, but now they look fine. And now I'm staying away from red ink! :)

Use polysporin & it should heal faster.

Yes, it sounds like it is infected.
