I went to a club for my birthday. My sister, her boyfriend, and my boyfriend came along. I had 3 vodka and cranberries from 11:30-2:00AM. My boyfriend brought the 4th drink back and told me the bartender gave it to him for free. The drink was very bitter tasting. I kept telling everyone how bad it tasted. I drank half of the drink. 15 minutes later I started to get dizzy and disoriented. I stumbled to the bathroom and blacked out. My sister said I tried to stand 3 times but kept blacking out. I eventually came to, but felt very disoriented for about 20 minutes and was sweating more than I ever had. The whole incidence lasted about 45 minutes. I felt better after that, but there was a time in the bathroom that I didn't know if I would be able to make it out. I'm a responsible drinker. I never go out to get drunk and have never experienced this before. I ate before leaving the house and my boyfriend swears he watched the bartender mix the drink. Everything happened and ended so quickly.

Assuming there was a single nip of vodka in each drink, you had 3.5 standard drinks in 2.5 hours.

According to Australian standards, a female should have a MAXIMUM of 4 standard drinks in 24 hours!

The fact that the 4th drink tasted strange suggests it may have been more than a single nip of vodka.'

The symptoms you have described could be from drink spiking, but if you are of a slight build then the amount of alcohol in 3 drinks could have caused these symptoms in that amount of time.

you should have had your boyfriend watch the guy make it. no offense but your bf is a fool for giving it to you if it was free. he should have more common sense than that.

never had it happen to me personally, but it sounds like it, and sounds fishy if it was free... Just don't go there again is my advice.
