I am trying to find a semi auto 12 gauge camo shotgun for duck seaon. I dont feel like spending $1200 or anything so far I am looking at a Stoeger M2000 for $439 that shoots 2 3/4 and 3" shells. But I heard that they have a lot of problems and stuff. I am also looking at the Charles Daly VR-MC Adv Max 4 HD gun for $435... got any other guns that are good?

I have a Remington 11-87 Synthetic but I want a camo gun that wont rust. I dont have $800 to spend on a gun, more like 400-450

charles daly are pretty good but i have a remington wingmaster 870 pump that does the job very well too

OK, it's not a Remington Wingmaster or a Benelli or some other high dollar shotgun, but there are a whole lot of Mossberg shotguns being used by lots of people. They have a couple that may suit you, the 835 and 500 Waterfowl Series. The 835 is the 3 1/2" magnum and the 500 accepts 3" shells. They both have camo finish and are available for under $400. The 935 is an autoloader and the Waterfowl series is going to run you about $550. These would be my choices over the Stoeger and the Charles Daly.

Personally I like the Mossberg 500 OR Remington 870 (both are pump action and have interchangeable barrels). They both take a 2 3/4" or 3" shell and today's ammo is getting better so you don't really need to get a shot gun that takes 3 1/2" shells (unless you really want one).

Super-Mag is camo, 3-1/2" chambered so it will use 2-3/4", 3" or 3-1/2" shells. Regular mag is camo and 3" chambered for 2-3/4" or 3" shells.

I have several high end duck guns, but my favorite, the one I take along everytime is my benelli nova pump. For about $350 you can't go wrong with it. It will digest 2 3/4 shells all the way up to 3 1/2 goose shot with no problems.

Buy a roll of camo tape and apply it to your 11-87, done job! Easily applied and removed. And saved $400 to spend on cartridges.

If you want a semi auto, go with the mossberg 835 semi auto shot gun.
Because the remington 870 is a pump shot gun. My boyfriend says.

Check out the Mossberg Brand*.. Great value and performance at a more than reasonable price*... True Value for your $$$$$*. You also can save more $$$ by buying a used Shotgun*... I bought all of mine used all 22> Rifles, Pistols, Shotguns and Revolvers with no regrets$$* Let the other guy pay the new price*...

Spend the money on a good gun i finally broke down and bought a SBE II love it shoots light target and heavy 3.5. comfortable light doesn't kick bad. with that said make sure you buy a gun that fits you and you can shoulder well SBE II does have shims and different butt plates.

check into having your shotgun dipped. gunsmiths can now do this and it looks like it came from the factory and you can pick your camo pattern. it would probaly be much less expensive than buying a new semi-auto. my gunsmith dips them in whatever camo pattern you want for 250.00 bucks. and they look great.
