There are more health problems associated from feeding a raw meat or mostly meat diet. If your not cooking the meat you run the risk of giving your salmonella or e coli. And even possibly giving it to yourself or anyone else in the house.. especially if you are leaving it out in his dish. Cats are not the same wild creatures they used to be we have domesticated them and changed the way they eat. As long as you are feeding a quality dry food your kitty will be healthy.

I hope you don't mean you feed your car breakfast cereal. Try offering it some cat food, dry or canned, the smell of the canned might really attract it. Cats need cat food, human food is not good for them, it lacks essential nutrients like taurine, which your cat could go blind without. Cat food is cheap. Go buy some cat food and feed your cat the right way. I don't know how long she has eaten cereal, but you might want to check if she's blind already, and a trip to the vet is a very good idea.

Cats need raw meat, bones, and organs for good health. Try mixing a little meat with some of what you usually give the cat and slowly wean out the "cereal."

Yes, urinary problems are common in cats that don't get enough meat in their diets.
You could try giving your cat fish. I have a male that only likes dry foods. He will eat tuna fish so I give him that mixed with the dry food. He's nearly 10 & he's never had any health problems.
If offering fish doesn't work with your cat, you could try pouring a teaspoon of flaxseed or evening primrose oil on the food. These oils are mild and contain fatty acids that will help keep your cat healthy. Also, have regular veterinary check-ups to make sure your cat's urinary tract is healthy.
Best of luck,
Jen

Yes,your cat has to have protein, fat and the amino acids taurine and arachodonic acid to function properly.Without taurine, which is found in meat, your cat will go blind and develop cardiomyopathy, and die.Have you tried a commercial dry cat food? You need to do all you can to get the cat to eat some meat.Ask your vet about supplements in the meantime.

(By "cereal", I assume you mean "dry cat food", not people cereal.)
Just give it dry cat food, it's totally fine. Pets really don't need wet food. A good cat food will give your cat all the nutirents it needs. Try giving your cat Nutro, that's what mine eat. It's a great food.
When selecting a cat food always make sure the first ingredient is some kind of meat, not a meat by-product or a grain. If a cat food has lots of big words in its ingredients that you don't know what they mean, don't get it. Chances are it's not good.

definitely! Cats are carnivores. Take her to the vet because something is obviously wrong if she wont touch any meat. A cat cannot live off of grains alone whatsoever.

Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they MUST have meat in their diets or they will suffer from taurine deficiency. Talk to your vet about this.
