From personal experience, and from what heavily tattooed friends have told me, the most painful places to get inked are:
1) Ribs
2) Stomach
3) Neck
4) Feet
5) Upper chest
6) Inner lip
7) Inside of wrist (right by heel of hand)
8) Spine
9) Inside of arm/armpit
10) Fingers/tops of hands
I have a few on those areas. It all depends on where your personal tender spots are, your pain threshold, and your state of mind. I've found that talking to the artist keeps your mind off the pain.

I have 3 tattoo's. The 2nd one I got starts at the top of my big toe, up my foot and around the inside of my ankle. That one BY FAR hurt the worst of them all. I also have one on the lower left side of my back and one b/w my shoulder blades. I would suggest going for the lower back to one side or another b/c that really didn't hurt to much. The one I have there was my first one and I'm afraid of needles. It's my way of getting over my fear I guess. GOOD LUCK!

I have a tattoo on my arm and at the top of my thigh. They didn't really hurt. It just felt like a hot needle was touching me, but it was not unbearable or anything. I have heard that the less meat(or fat i guess) the more it hurts. Ex. Hurts: ankle, back, wrists, fingers (where there is mostly bone) Not Hurt: Arm, thighs, breats, etc.

I have 3 tattoos.
I have one next to my hip, some of it is under my panty line. It hurt real bad.
I have one on my leg above my ankle, it did not hurt at all. I felt vibrating in my knee.
I have one on my foot under my ankle bone. It hurt only because the skin in really thin.
They are worth the pain. Do not be scared.

It al depends on your tolerance for pain. I have a tattoo on my inside wrist and it goes over a few of my vains, it didn't hurt, the artist was great he talked to me the whole time, cool dude! I have one of the back of my neck, that one didn't hurt it stung a little, and I one on my right forearm which I didn't feel at all!!!!

they dont hurt to much unless you get them in places where the there is not much meat between the skin and the bone, like the top of your feet or top of the shoulder, elbow sometimes ribs, the longer the work takes the more irritated it gets and the more it hurts.

Yes it hurts. Of course everyone is different and has different tolerances for pain, but it doesn't feel like butterfly kisses that is for damn sure. Mine all hurt, but all were worth it in the end.

Go back to school and learn to spell before you waste your money on a tattoo. Gee, I don't know. Do you like getting poked (repeatedly) with a needle?
