it has happened at least twice before when I wake up in the middle of the night and my wrist (but mostly my thumb) hurts so bad that I have to cry. The first night it happened I literally thought I had broke it but it was too late to wake up my mom so I just splinted it and went to bed. When I woke up it was fine. It just happened again last night. What could this be from?

Im serious the pain is excruciating, I cant stand to bend my writst or move my thumb when it happens.

you may be experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome from repetitive motion. you need to see a medical doctor and have a complete examination. That's the only way you're going to get an answer and get treatment to stop the pain.

When it's happening apply an ice pack to the area for ten minutes. Advil liquid capsules works very quickly on pain. Take them when this happens.
