The best thing I did at college was work part-time at Barnes and Nobles. You get a 30% discount on all books, which translated to all NEW books for (oftentimes) CHEAPER than the used books at the school bookstore.

Check out jobs that are posted on campus. Often some are just temporary jobs you could do in your spare time.

Another thing is to find a company that will let you work by the job rather than by the hour. When I was in college, many businesses around the school knew that the kids that went to my college were hard workers and wouldn't goof off. They would hire by the job. The kids would go in, not mess around, and get the job done is a lot less time than others.

Tutoring: You can do this on-campus between classes, or other times. If you want a break from campus, find another place to meet the ones you are tutoring.

Word Processing: Typing up class notes or hand-written assignments for those who don't have time to.

Be sure to check for job opportunities on campus. You might find something that could give you experience in your chosen field. For example a friend of mine who was majoring in Graphic Design got a job working in the printing office of the college. By the time she graduated she already had some solid experience that related to her expertise.

You're on the right track already just by having taken steps to get suggestions. Kudos to you!

Best of success to you, Lili

I would suggest a part-time job that doesn't interfere with either your classes or your study time. Places that hire college students are generally very flexible in assigning hours. Fast-food places usually have flexible work schedules.
