Well to lose weight, you have to do cardio, weights and a bowflex will give you muscle, but running will lose you the stomach. Try running 3x per week for 30mins and just keep it up. Then in maybe 2 or 3 months when you are more in shape you can do weights without hurting yourself, do what i call body weights, pushups, situps, etc.. etc.... there are a million ways to get stronger with just using a mat. I lost weight by starting to train hard for a sport all you need is people expecting you to show up to workout, a shedule and people to workout with. That kept me motivated. What I do is write everything I eat in a food log, not to make me feel bad if I eat junk food, but just so I can see oh wow I ate 5 'extras" today, better eat less tomorrow or whatever good luck

I make it a point that if am over my weight i exercise a lot. I have told myself to have discipline. I just don't want to become bigger. My motivation comes from wife who wants to be in shape always so as to remain in good health too. We are health conscious and live a healthy lifestyle. We promote this in our office. Good health and stay in shape prolongs life is our motto.

i dance to keep in shape. & dancing is fun for me.

so, i end up dancing practically every 30 seconds because i love it so much. you really dont need much motivation when you love what you do.

hope that helps! =]

I can't see anything being more important then maintaining health. plus I have to keep myself both mentally and physically challenged.
