You've missed the definition of faith. I cant see the wind, but I know it's there. I know that God is true and that satisfies me.It works for me-why do you care?

Faith is the belief in things one cannot see. This does not mean an illogical belief in fairy tales but rather being able to see the evidence of the things existence. Faith in a God or Spirit comes from witnessing the work of that Spirit or God in ones life or upon someone else's life. We see small miracles everyday such as the birth of a child or the human ability to do the right thing when the situation arises, such as the rescue workers who recently gave their lives in Utah trying to save men trapped in the coal mine. These individuals took a risk to help people who were in trouble at a time when they could have walked away and said it just wasn't their responsibility. This is evidence of a greater consciousness that dwells within humans. These greater motives have to come from somewhere.

For other examples, there are things I am sure you have faith in. When you stepped outside of the house this morning, you had no fear of floating off into space because you have faith in the laws of gravity. Even though you have never seen gravity, you have witnessed it's effects. You also have faith in natural things. If the wind blows, you will recognize it as wind but being a movement of air you cannot actually see wind. Still you have faith that wind exists and have seen the effects of wind storms and tornadoes.

I hope this has helped to answer your question. if you would like to discuss the question further, or any others, I would be happy to chat with you via messenger.

Faith is a reflection of who we are, and we see truth in the religion that makes us happy. That makes religion sound made up and shallow, but even atheists believe the same way.
I get truth not from what is fact but from what is good. If a belief, what ever it may be, causes you to live better and care for others, then who cares whether it is fact or not? I don't believe because I KNOW anything's true, I believe what I believe because it SHOULD be true, and when I incorporate it into my life to make it better for myself and those around me, in a way I MAKE it true. Hope this helps.

It isn't all based on faith. There is a certain knowing that can't be explained to anyone that hasn't experienced it. It's like trying to explain the taste of salt to someone who's never had it before.

When you're hungry, you'll find truth.

one needs faith to know life whether you acknowledge it or not. here's a simple example belief and hope are pre requisites to faith. who experiences some magnitude of belief and hope everyday? practically everybody! think about it. when 1000s of others are driving with you on the freeway you and they hope and believe that they will arrive safely and on time to work or whereever they are going. once they get to there destination there belief hope and faith becomes knowledge because they now know that they can get there with that little requirements again which are belief and hope that you can get there, and work, brings knowledge. it is through faith and works that we are able to accomplish things in life. one needs faith to know life.

Please stop using the wind analogy. It's dumb.

"You can't see the wind, so how do you know it's there?!?!"
